i feel they put all the new joinees in small districts where no grant is coming and no work is there. but if you are in biggger division then you have to do alot of work and political pressure and corruption in these departments is very high so if you dont want to take any kind of UTM its upto you then how would deal with other engineers who are doing that

My father is senior DAO , He has been serving for 24 years, this job is very frustrating and lot of pressure will be built upon you by contractors and corrupt engineers to sign on wrong papers, its a myth that its a chill job.I hope every one knows well about the level of corruption in engineer cadre of any state , so if as a DAO you would try to work as per rules and regulations , the engineers and contractorts will trouble you mentally. so follow your passion while filling post preferences instead of listening to other advices.

मैं PWD में JE के पद पर विगत 28 वर्षों से कार्यरत हूँ। मुझे तो लगता है कि किसी प्रदेश में मुख्य मंत्री के बाद सबसे ज्यादा पॉवर DA के पास होता है। अरे यार झूठ बोलने की एक सीमा होती है, Executive Engineer के स्टाफ को अपने अंडर का स्टाफ बता रहे हो। DA को अलग से कोई clerk या स्टाफ नहीं मिलता है। बस एक अलग चैंबर मिलता है। अगर Executive Engineer चाहे तो बिना DA के पास किये किसी बिल का payment कर सकता है।
