Key play of the game…..The Chargers go for it on 4th and goal down 21-6. Natrone Means is stopped at the corner pylon. They give the ball to Miami inside the 1 yard line, but they should have been awarded the ball out at the 20. Means actually fumbled the ball and it hit the pylon. That would have been a touchback for Miami. Instead Miami gets it at the 1 and is tackled in the end zone for a safety which is 2 points. Chargers win game 22-21. If replay was around that season, Miami wins this game.

@@housinauthority5258 Most Dolphins fans don't know a whole helluva lot about football. They think Marino throwing the ball 50 times was good enough to win a championship. He really lit it up in this game in the second half. Zero points, pitiful time of possession numbers. The uncatchable pass down the right side to 4th WR #87 Mike Williams into double coverage instead of taking the 10 yards that Arnsparger was conceeding was brilliant. Stoyo should have been 10 yards closer. A more accurate pass also would've bern intercepted. Doubtful you'll ever hear another Dolphins fan point this out to you. Marino wasn't good enough, period. Running the ball and defense won championships. Name a better team after 1984 than the 2002 club. You can't. Not 85', not 90', not 92' or 94 or 98', not 2000 or 2001 either. Ricky was unstoppable in 2002, and the Dolphins beat the AFC Champion Raiders in the regular season, and could've beat the Buccaneers in the SB. Mediocre QB play and the best division in football held them back.
