They did every dirty trick in the book: called police for no reason, called police because I emailed my son, opened and kept my mail, hid assets, complained and sobbed in court. Men: do NOT get married. Not worth it.

The key problem in divorce is that family court is gender biased in child custody matters. I have seen it happen in front of my face. The statistics tell us that 93% of child support recipients are the mother... So they have custody. And the US census tells us that about 85% of single parent homes are with custodial mothers. And a terrible negative effect of this gender bias by the court system...is that newly divorcing dads recognize that they have no chance of custody and then they have to mediate or settle to be a non custodial parent, because they already know the system is rigged. So it reinforces the statistics and outcomes where default custody goes to the mother, without any real analysis as to the Actual Best Interests of the child.

I've done absolutely everything correct. But I live in a community property state. So I'm losing the house that I owned before I got married. I'm losing half of my 401k, the entirety of it. Meanwhile, she is violated every single thing in the temporary order. Treg this divorce out for over a year and a half not showed up to court on one occasion and I've proven that the kids are not even a close to a priority other than a paycheck. But yet 50-50 custody and I get to pay her child support. We live in a communist country now. I get to give her a big paycheck, her daddy gave her a house. And I received crippling debt to the point that I'm going to have to file bankruptcy and move back in with my parents at 40 years old. And my retirement is all but gone. And she's the one that cheated on me but Wisconsin doesn't care about that either.

Damn I’m sorry man, I’ve witnessed this firsthand and with adult kids. Still it’s like parents who pretend they don’t want to divorce because “well we don’t want to break up the family” is usually worse off. Trust me. I believe you will be better off and your family because how you are 40 and not 60, you will be able to rise up like the roses amongst the thorns. Yes the thorns are there and painful. They will always be there before you climb up to the rose.

@@DaisyAruba I'm not saying that I'm not better off without her in my life because that's painfully obvious. I'm just disgusted with the world today. Bad behavior is almost rewarded now. If you stand up and do the right thing every moment, make the best choices for your family, then your the reliable one, and they continue to punish you while they reward the garbage. When I got married I owned a house. I had money in the 401k. When I got divorced I got no credit for the home that I brought into the marriage. I got no credit for the money that was in my 401k before we got married. She literally got half of everything. Community property States legally rob you. And this ridiculousness that it's so important to have two parents in their lives that they refuse to acknowledge horrible behaviors in the name of what's best for the child. And then punish the reliable one with a support payment instead of expecting the other half to do what's necessary for their family on their own.

Yes I to, lost the house I was born in and inherited through the Courts and put out on the street. The Courts even took my Mother's WILL from me to give to the Brothers in Court. I was the Respondent and ten years later I became the Applicant and won every time in Court yet it was to late as all my assets were gone. They won't put contempt charges on the Applicant as they brought the Case to Court to make the money for the Brothers.

I wished I could hire this guy! I just filed but I really am happy with my attorney.... I just am trying to prepare him (I vetted) prior to this kicking off that my ex is a classic according to the DSMRVI or whatever edition it's on... My ex is by definition a narcissistic and on the end of the spectrum as one of the worst narcissists ever!

My son was just served with a notice of divorce/mediation request(?). He works from home, and his wife has been a stay at home mom, but my son has been the one cleaning, cooking, and doing more housework than she ever has. She was supposed to be homeschooling the children, but they are all behind because she'd rather take them out on day trips and ignore the school work. She CAN work, she USED to work, but the minute they got married (she was pregnant) she wanted to quit. He was in the military at the time. I'm telling him to PLEASE do NOT sign anything or agree to anything until he speaks with an attorney.

The courts make their decesions based on one basic concept - the mother gets the house, land, savings, children, dog, alimony, child support to raise and care for the children. She makes all the decesions in the childs life. The fathers only responsibility is to send a check to pay for the children. He is a check producer only. Anything more than that check is not be be expected. Parential alienation, visitation, fathers " rights" is of no interest to the court system. Now the lawyers will tell you " we can fight that, give me $10,000". You just lost your $10,000 after you just lost everything else - like your house.

You can hide assets, it's very easy. You can do drafts on your income Tax returns for three years and then file amendments later after Court. You can have a Mother's Bank Account and not claim it. Not one Lawyer I had would look any farther.

If you want to beat the system you have to transfer your assets to a foreign bank and leave the country. That is the one surefire way of beating the divorce system.

Not in all cases but some families only have one person being the bread winner. Some men(and women) are working 60 plus hours a week and don’t have much time when they get home and during the week to be engaged because they are tired from work.
