They both need self examination. Dude needs structure and he will become, over time, more settled. Some activities which will satisfy the need to get out and socialize may be 12-step meetings, group therapy, activities where he grows accustomed to listening, being ACCOUNTABLE, emotionally honest in a safe environment with regularity. With time, responsibility will not feel like a prison and more like a privledge and priority. It has been said that sense of purpose responsibility are powerful remedies for what may ail us mentally. Freedom and responsibilty are 2 sides of the same coin. He needs STRUCTURE She needs to examine why she keeps trusting this guy as a partner, let alone a parent. She cannot be everything to everyone. I feel her. My BF is the same way. Been together 2 years and he won't xhange his status feom single to in a relationship. Tells me the important people in his life, friends and family, knows we are together. Meanwhile ive cauggt him messaging women where he sends them a d**k pic thats not even his and tells them hes single. He hasnt cheated on me yet and he had medical problems that make it hard for him to get hard, but im worried one day he may try.
