Good video. It's worth mentioning the factory air cleaner is off. If it was on with a working exhaust heat riser valve connected it would warm up quicker. Coke pull offs and heat riser valves and termactors are emission control devices the purpose of which is to make the choke open sooner to reduce emissions. I live in warm Florida so the choke opens so quickly it's hard to catch on video. In fact, in the summer the choke never closes completely.

Born and raised in rhode island i feel ya the struggle is real lol I have long since moved to fla but I remembah those heat stove chokes on many cahs then they went to electric chokes and other forms of opening the choke .. I always had mine set for the wintah but a lot of my buddies didnt and they had to sit there feathering the gas and wearing out the stahtah till she warmed up a V8 would usually staht no matter how cold but a six cylindah like a ford 200 in a maverick no choke no staht period lol I learned fast that one so i figured out how to set chokes on ill my cahs she started stayed running five mins pop the pedal she comes down or even take off when on high idle while my buddies stalled in the middle of a busy road stopping traffic to wear out the stahtah some more lol

Great video, beautiful car. I've been looking for a stock replacement and they don't make them for Buicks anymore. The car is away in the winter, so never was that important. Just running out of things to do to the car lol. Vader sounds healthy. Enjoy!!

If you're using an aftermarket intake, this is our only option. If you have a stock intake, the choke setups are out there, they're just obvious going to be used. Thanks!!

Its hard to make work right thats why they went to electric chokes in the first place people complaining about hard starts in cold weather

Nice video Brett. I’ve been meaning to get mine lined out, currently I manually set the choke before starting…which I shouldn’t have to do.
