White is much closer to promoting pawn and has king in corner. You can't win that game as black against an equal opponent

people dont always resign when i mate is near.. if your opponent is in better position (closer to promoting a pawn, a piece up etc.) you resign.

Bcz the queens are getting traded next move and after that it's a trivial king pawn endgame which is completely winning for Divya. She'll win that position more than 99 out of 100 times. Her opponent didn't want to prolong her suffering hence she resigned.
