One of my favorite parts of the completed song is the slide guitar and at 4:44 Natalie mimics the missing slide guitar, awesome.

Jeez. Vocals are so spot on. Just amazing. A mic in front of her and you're done.

@ haysfordays "Jeez. Vocals are so spot on. Just amazing. A mic in front of her and you're done." Why is that amazing? That's what you do when you can sing.
@haysfordays7 жыл бұрын
Ha. You are correct. I just don't hear it that often from "singers".
@Yesica19937 жыл бұрын
@ haysfordays And that is such a shame! I hear that all the time from people nowadays. (Glad there are still people with actual talent left on the planet. I was beginning to despair. Seriously!)
@haysfordays7 жыл бұрын
I try not to be negative, but really some voices just shine above others...even the good ones. There are some good vocalists out there but no personality. She has it all. Just saw Chrissie Hynde, she's another. Amazing.
@Yesica19937 жыл бұрын
Glad to know they still do exist. I was really getting discouraged learning about all the electronic "tricks" used these days. I was feeling like my entire life of listening to singers had been a lie.

Natalie has always been a very good strong singer nothing shocking about it.😱

There are so many egos nowadays, this stuff is nearly impossible. The songwriting, the musicians, the frontmen (or women). Country music, and music in general, was a renaissance in the 90s. This era produced so many gems it’s ridiculous.

@Curly Que And if they cover a song, they stay very close to the original. Dennis Scott said the first time he heard "Heartbreak Town" on radio, he realized they hadn't changed a thing.

I love how Nat is directing but then Em and Martie just start singing/playing/being perfect and you can hear the most “basic” authentic version of the Chicks.

Live rehearsals always sound better to me because they aren’t mixed to subdue the instruments and blast to vocals, which to me is more natural and how you’d hear it around a campfire live….

While I think Natalie has pipes for days, The real talent is Martie on violin. She doesn't play fiddle. Her technique is classical. Natalie's Dad, Lloyd Maines was a successful Nashville Pedal steel player and is on a few tunes. This video show just how critical it gets when it's your lively hood. I have nothing but respect for these gals. Also, Natalie wasn't the first singer. She replaced another gal who was pretty good.
@OlafRonald9 жыл бұрын
+Robert Lane yes, that was Laura Lynch, a different style of singer but also as you mentioned pretty good.
@benjaminkaminski64967 жыл бұрын
Uh, that's totally fiddle. Not much classical going on there, and I'm not talking just style either.
