Funny thing about that violin solo. That was the second time they played the song that nite. Somehow after playing it thousands of time, Martie forgot her part.....That is why, she and the audience shared a chuckle!

I don't think the Chicks ever performed this song better than this. It's better than the studio recording. Their ability to perform live is off the charts. The rest of the band too. So much talent here. The steele playing is sooo good. Then Marties fiddle playing. No words to describe it. Then you have Natalies voice. This performance is a perfect 10 !!

You are probably right. And the Chicks could attract the best Talent. I see renown guitarists Keith Sewell, David Grisson, and Audley Freed, and others. It's curious that on their 2016 tour, the Band was half the size as in 2006. But I didn't notice any diminution of Sound Quality.

So I'm gonna be honest...I heard of this song for the first time about a week ago, and didn't listen to it for the first time until today. I'm singing this song with some other people in a musical revue at my school, and now that I've heard it, I can't help but think: what a beautiful song!! I'm so glad my director chose me to be in the ensemble for this.

my favorite part is 3:33 after the final chorus when they repeat the "closer to you." It starts with Natalie and Emily (mid and lower voice). Then Natalie and Marty (mid and higher voice). Then the camera zooms to all of them and their voices just open a floodgate of energy as they all sing their perfect harmonies. I like how Emily is the only one who changes her voice up and down on the "me" which adds nice subtle movement. Amazing! It all makes the hair on my neck stand up

+Mora Roden Only young people who have never been out in the world and seen how others live do not care. Those of us who have served, who are serving, or those who have lived when America was openly threatened still know how the cow eats the cabbage. There is a reason why they say with age comes wisdom and that is because the young are so trusting and foolhardy. But let me explain...it is not how she feels about Bush, it is not that she expressed it, it is she went to foreign soil even an ally and said it there. To put it more at a home level, if you have children cause I do not know, it would not be that your mother told you that your children or you when you were young were bratty and embarrassing, it is that went up and down the street telling the neighborhood some friends, some not. She could have said anything here in America cause we are family but do not go talk to the inlaws and the outlaws and the don't counts.

I love so much that the "C hicks" took the time to correct their old videos to have their new name. I respect you women for always keeping things up to date, you live, you learn.

this was just so dope especially that instrumental at the end; that has always been the best part of the song for me even 20 years later lol.

Tonight I noticed the most beautiful thing about this video. At 2:56 the sister on the fiddle finished her part and the people cheered for her performance. Then the camera pans to her sister and she's smiling so happily FOR her sister. Humanity does exist....

My sister loved this song. She passed on in 2012. When ever I hear this song. I think of her. I miss her it makes me cry. But, it also makes me happy because I know she is still with me.
