You don’t want the box to be entirely sealed. That makes it a pressure bomb in case of venting. Likely not a threat to humans if this is going to be near the driveway entrance of a rural property but I guess it’s possible something could happen if you go to repair it. The 12 gauge wire on the BMS output needs to be paired with similar wire on the rest of the BMS. The way those little ones work, the balance leads or what we think of as balance are actually handling the power before the BMS so the “0V” wire and “8.4V” wire would be a choke point as the power coming out of the battery and going into the BMS can only handle maybe 10A? Would likely heat up around 5-8A Anyways thanks for the heads up about the crap cell holders included in those mini battery boxes. I had always just assumed they used the standard cell holders

Cool thanks. So it's not in a 100% sealed box. But that is not something that I thought of. Good info to have thank you. It's got a load on it less than 2 amps at max if the lights on.
