Proper job! Brad, as you were running the balance wires, I thought to myself, after I tidy mine up with cable ties, I'll also add dobs of hot melt as mine will be in an camper trailer, so plenty of vibrations and knocks. I'm using 280AH rectangular cells. Maybe you can put a link or a name to the cells you used - I need to setup a lower capacity 12V battery to the vehicle (currently running a heavy AGM), and 55AH will be more than enough.

That's a good idea with the hot glue. These cells came from batteryhookup.com, i think they are out of stock. But they have lots of other cell. If you find some you like you can use my discount code BMC to get 5% off.

Gosh Brad, zip ties again! Lol Those SAB cells probably have a pretty high c rate right? And yeah most of the time you want way more capacity than current for these solar storage batteries. I end up putting these 100/200a BMS’s on but I know if it was my project I’d just add more batteries at lower current because it can’t hurt to have more capacity. Looks clean, I like it. Just ordered some of those a123 lifepo4 7s batteries from BH. So hopefully be having some more battery fun like you!

I'm in a jam. CPS took my kid for living off grid. I need a bigger system my inverter took a shit on me and took out all 6 panels my charge controller and half my battery'. I can get her back once I get my power back on so I'm recruiting equipment

@@BradCagle That's it's brother. I don't know what the difference is. I bought the 91 'cause the specs for the clamp on current measurement was in the milliamps DC range.

Unless I'm added the prices up wrong I don't see how you come to the conclusion that diy costs half.

I paid around $600 total for this 2.8kWh battery so $214 per kWh. EG4 server rack $292 per kWh, Battle born would cost you $660 per kWh. So comparing some, true its not quite half, but for others up to a factor of 3x savings.
