I could be wrong, but I don't think you need to remove the door panels to install those. You should be able to pop them out form the bottom.

Well you are right but that is only if you have the wiring . I did not have the wiring . If you watch the entire video you will see we are installing a separate wire to the main module which can be only reached by removing the door panel.

I have a VW MK7 Golf 2013 TSI - Is there a way to connect the additional light connector wire (brown cable) directly into the stock module without splicing the existing (OEM) brown cable. I think for my car model the new red cable goes to port16 and the brown goes to port5 - But port5 is occupied with stock wire - most people splice the OEM Brown cable, but I don't want to cut or solder into this stock cable. What can I do? Is there a type of [Molex pin connector I can use to tap in with new wire and then I can rather splice my added new light cable?) Please help.

I did this and it worked on my driver side door but my passenger side door worked for a couple minutes then stopped now its only reading 8 volts on my multimeter do you know what could cause this and how do I fix it?

I really don't know because I never ran into this, but I would say check your battery voltage , should be 12volt I think. If it is not it is probably time to replace your battery OR you have a short somewhere in the circuit block on that passenger door, check wires and possibly replace them. Thanks all i can say

yes, it will do the job if you know in which menu you have to go. So obd vag reader is still fine.

I did not because I ordered only for the front, but the installation is the same as well as the coding.

Hi. Iam trying code rear doors with odbeleven . Front one did work from app but some how rear dont want connect with drivers on app so I am unable to go for options long coding. Do you have any idea why? Cheers

I put rear one + for 6 and - for 18 pin

@@radkuch2099 I did this on a US version, not sure where you are located in world. But to be sure get a 9 volts battery and test your lights first and make sure they are not faulty. But i double checked the instructions i was using and you have done it right. Another thing might be verifying you have it correctly inserted in 6 and 18. So verify these 2 things first and then let me know.

It came with the LED Logo Projector light. It is attached to the amazon affiliate link in the description bellow the video. You can also find it in ebay separately .

Hi, i connected lights that should project the VW logo so i don't need any software according to the seller. But i connected them and there is no light. I followed multiple guides and i did the exact same thing is everyone. Even switched the - + cables to be sure. Do i really need the software for it to work?

You car computer needs to know there is a light on your door, that's why you need to code them. Yes you need the software . The seller doesn't know what your case is and everyone s case is different. If you did have lights before that and did not need to do any wiring then yours you bought are bad. Before you install them test them with a 9V battery, if they don't lid up then it is the actual light not your computer.

Do you have the wires connected to the module? If you don't have it will not detect it in control units. If you have them it should show up in control units and then you select it, then go under door_exit_light and select install.

@@racetune3262 yea i connected +6 -18. But i cant coding the rear doors when i try to sign rear left door it says 'control unit not reponding'. Did you code rear doors from driver door and passanger door?

@@Altuntas26 okay so i checked my notes and diagrams. It is a bit tricky for the rear doors. First I will advice you to check it everything is connected properly on the right pins just in case. Then i found out the rear doors exit lights can be accessed via 42 and 52 meaning accessed through the front doors. Go to 42 for driver and 52 for passenger. Giving you example with 42, after clicking 42 --> click long coding --> click the 0.1 button on top of the right top corner of your screen by the ? mark --> then click the right arrow to go to F7 --> then on the very bottom you should see Rear Door Control modules \/ check it , code it save it . Then let me know if that helped you resolve the issue. P.S. I never did my rear doors

@@racetune3262 i coded with an android phone. My obdeleven is next generation but its not able to code rear doors with ios. All doors are working now. :) thanks for your help sir. 🙏🏼
