Like a dumbass, I paid the $250. I didn't even realize it was gonna cost $250. They didn't say anything, and I knew the filters were like 50 bucks, so I thought they were gonna charge me like 75 bucks total for parts + labor since it takes like 2 minutes. They ended up charging me for an entire hour of labor at $200. I was pissed but I was dumb for assuming....

I paid $78 for both engine air filter and cabin air filter including the tax in Toronto a week ago. Now at Midas for oil change and asked if they will install the engine air filter and they said they will do it for free And I am going to replace cabin air filter later today myself Don't waste your money on such easy stuff. Too bad our parents didn't teach us these crucial things.

Called the dealer they wanted $60 for the filter alone since there was no economy version for my model, but it would have been over $30 if there was. $11 activated carbon filter from Amazon arrived today and this video helped me install it. Great job

you dont' have to unclip the tall plastic, just bend right & left side of drawer its ok enough to change cabin filter.

2014 3 has a screw in that first pin you pulled, and it's impossible to get to at that angle to unscrew. Thanks, Mazda! (sarcasm)

This was incorrect for the 2016. You don't have to move the first pin at all. Just loosen the side plunges. Look on the O'Reilly instructions.
