This kit is AWESOME! Light quality is amazing at night now, the installation was ridiculously simple, got it installed in a little over 1 hour, needed a few more zip ties than it came with though (think it came with 5, I ended up using like 12) and had to go get an m5 nut and bolt to secure the relay in place (revised kit only comes with 4 bolts, all of which are needed for the ballasts) so keep that in mind if buying this. Also, those "stepper" bits are straight up stupid-expensive, like $90 or more for some... if you don't need a stepper bit on a regular basis, save the cash and just go get a 1" hole drilling bit, it's gonna be at least $70 cheaper and makes it impossible to make the wrong size hole.

Great video the only thing i do different is look for another place for that passanger side ballast! To close from the windshield fluid. When you filled out you have to be very careful not to spill down on the ballast.

I have the same setup with the harness but after awhile they would shut off and turn back on, other times they’ll just shut off and won’t turn on unless I start up the car again, I’ve tried everything, using different ballasts and decoders and still have the same problem, my car is a 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit, don’t know if that makes a difference.

they are not different dust caps you drill a one and one quarter inch hole in your dust cap and use the grommet to seal up the hole. my only question is are there any differences between hid projectors and those halogen projectors. ive noticed that my challengers lights have a false cap aloowing me to remove the center of the running lights like on the hellcat wich leads me to believe they made all the housings the same but I thought halogeb projectors and hid projectors were different shaped lenses

wouldn't the driver side ballist be exposed to water and over heating ? I just installed mine in my 2016 Charger and I was just wondering if that was a risk to the ballist
@uski8 жыл бұрын
I don't understand why you use a relay harness and don't simply connect the ballasts 12v power supply to each factory connector on each side where the bulb was originally connected ? These are 35W ballasts and the factory harness can probably deal with it. Regarding the "CAN decoder" module (god I hate that name), it's probably just a resistor to make the car think a bulb is indeed there.

Quick question, I had the HID upgrades installed on my 2016 Dodge Charger and the low beams work great! However, when I turn my high beams on, they are shining up in the trees. Do you know where, if at all, I can mess with the elevation of the high beams?
@rmcclellan20097 жыл бұрын
Ryan Budde, if you move the high beams, it will also move the low beams since they share the same housing!

Obviously a different headlight cap is used as one is rounded and the newer one has a flatter back. so how will this flat grommet work on a rounded back?
@michaelkhoury51818 жыл бұрын
+Christopher Henry it's rubber and conforms around the hole pretty easily; the curvature doesn't really make a big impact on the grommet, a hole is a hole.

My 2015 Chrysler 200 kept shutting off the headlights after it was cranked. I used the same setup, just different products. Do you have or have had any issues with bulb out warnings or computer shutting of the lights while the engine is running? They worked great when the engine was off. I no longer have my Chrysler, but will be purchasing a Charger soon.
@Enlightautomotive8 жыл бұрын
+brian rakestraw The 2015 Chrysler's need a different type of HID system. I know exactly what you are talking about. We have special HID systems for The 2015 Rams and 2015 Chrysler vehicles which have the same problem you are describing.
@harishbaskar38728 жыл бұрын
Quick question. The stock projector that comes with the Charger, is it equipped to handle the HIDs? As in, does it make full use of the HID's? or will I be needing a projector update to make full use of the HID's as well?
@Enlightautomotive8 жыл бұрын
The stock projectors can handle the HID system and maintain a usable beam pattern with minimal glare. It will not be as good as a purpose built high end HID projector, but it is still a huge improvement over stock. There are some halogen projectors that do not do well with HID's but the challenger's are not bad.

I have purchased MANY other brands of HID kits ranging from $50.00 to $180.00 and they all say their kit works flawlessly. While some are brighter than others they all have one thing in common that I am wondering if you have been able to solve. For some reason the way the 9005 hid bulbs sit in the housing, they produce a dark spot or a shadow in the road due to the rod that is attached to the HID bulb. Has Enlight Automotive been able to solve this issue or does your product have the same problem? I just dont want to spend more money and time buying something that i am going to have to return. Thanks!
@Enlightautomotive7 жыл бұрын
You are referring to the 2016 models. Hopefully in the next few months we will have a 9005 HID bulb that have the rod in a different location. As now I do not have any that are angled differently. The 2015 models do not have this problem as they are a 9012 bulb type.
@Lazn10197 жыл бұрын
yea it is the 2016 model. I will be looking out for the new 9005 bulbs.....like i said i have bought like 6 other brands so if you guys can change the position of the rod on the bulb then you will be ahead of the game! Thank you so much for your quick reply.

why is the factory connector on the driver side not being used?
@Enlightautomotive8 жыл бұрын

So I tried to install these and I removed the air box, how ever when I put the air box back on my vehicle was not running properly, had to take it to dealership to get fixed, they said the air box was not on correctly but I followed directions precisely, can anyone help?
@Enlightautomotive7 жыл бұрын
Joshua Love You need to make sure you plug the air flow sensor back in, also make sure the 2 halves of the air box are seated correctly. It's easy to pinch the air filter or mis-align them.
@Jprice0107 жыл бұрын
Enlight Automotive how do I make sure it's seated properly? Is there anyway to put them in with out taking out the air box? It would prolly be extremely hard, I'm afraid if I take it off again it won't run properly
@charkizzzy8 жыл бұрын
can these be used on automatic or have to be turned on manual
@Enlightautomotive8 жыл бұрын
+Jorge Charco It is best to use the lights manually. With the auto headlights, if you are parked in a dark garage, when you get in the car start the engine, the headlights will try to come on as soon as the ignition in the ON position. When the starter kicks in, it pulls large amounts of current from the battery. Also pulling power away from the HID ballasts. This may cause the light not to start. In which case you can turn them on manually. Its best to keep the lights off before starting the engine. Then after starting the engine you can leave them in auto. Now that said, most people just run them in auto without issues.
@charkizzzy8 жыл бұрын
+Enlight Automotive - Vibrant LED and HID lighting technology I'm asking because places where I have bought hids from have always said to keep them manually, and I have experienced the bulb burning out. thats why i ask. i seen you guys have the 50w is that the ones used on the video? your product seems more better than the ones i have gotten before.

Why do this when they come with Better head lights
@Enlightautomotive8 жыл бұрын
+thuglifezeem716 The answer is simple... cost. In order to get factory HID headlights on the Charger, it appears that you have to get the "Plus Group" package option which is an additional $2150 option. I don't think you can just get the HID headlights as a separate option. So You can either spend $2150 for factory HID's, or you can spend a little more than $150 on our aftermarket system and get nearly the same level of performance. Sounds like a bargain to me!
