Thanks for making the video, wasn't sure how the breaker panel disconnected from the battery there, didn't realize it was all one assembly, thought it was done and then I tried to remove the battery but it wouldn't come out so I watch more of your video and the finagling worked😅 perfect. Easy in and out really appreciate it

It's weird how a low 12v battery on these cars will cause random electrical gremlins.

Glad it helped. I was putting off replacing mine for a while until signs of it going bad. Never did. Even after 7 years it still load tested like new at a little over 600 cranking amps! Now I have a battery to use for another project.

My battery was still good, but after reading you should be using an AC Delco (or equivalent) agm, I decided to replace it with one from the Chevy dealer. Well I don't know what that stupid battery did to my volt, because it threw 10 million check engine lights, and now I can't charge the main battery . Why.

@@danielmadera1144 Use the backup key to open the driver door. Open the rear door. Fold the seat down to access the trunk. Fold open the floor and attach jumpers to the battery to give enough power to open the trunk.

@@danielmadera1144 Well, the first problem of course was I didn't have jumper cables. Lucky for me it was in my driveway so I was able to borrow some from my neighbor. I had to pull my other vehicle really close and run the cables through the side door into the trunk. Oh but that wasn't even the best part. When I went to replace the battery the next day I figured the jump would give enough power to at least open the door because it did after I tested it. Nope! Here I am again locked out my trunk and I already gave the cables back to my neighbor 🤦🏿. So I'll just say I had an interesting time crawling in from the side door and changing the battery from inside the trunk. What a design flaw to not have a way to manually open the trunk, as well as the gas cap which I also had fail on me a few times.
