I love your lantern ideas. I saw your Christmas home tour, your home and furnishings are really pretty! I love your lantern you used for Valentines, but be careful not to "overdue" with crafty projects. I've done that myself and sometimes it cheapens the look of our homes. I personally do not like silk flowers, but I love things like berries, things that look real and rich. I'm only telling you because I've done it myself, and you have such lovely things! I love all your ideas and you have a fabulous personality and energy! Sometimes putting a simple candle or other creative things or even a gorgeous ribbon on a lantern has a greater impact. I loved your Valentine shadow box when you used book pages and made a heart. I think a large one would be pretty in the lantern.

Looks amazing ~ you inspire me. I did a four sided lantern tonight with a roof and I found pulling out the black tabs and hot gluing the glass in place worked best. Thanks again for your videos.

I know I'm a bit late but a trick to using a hot glue gun is put a little dot of hot glue on the new stick before you put it in so they can stick together, it makes keeping the glue constant much easier. You are amazing, and I am so glad I found you on yt.

Beautiful! So talented. I would put another piece of gold paper back to back on the paper thats already there. The strip of paper will be gold inside of the lantern in stead of white. I don't know how you always come up with ideas. Love your videos.

I love it. I would just spay paint the inside with gold to match the color frame and hot glue the glass to the frame.

You can use wire cutters to cut the black tabs or I have just wiggled them back and forth and they come off pretty easily.... beautiful lantern I will be making that!!!

Really nice idea. I think I might have faced the gold cardstock toward the inside of the lantern so the gold shows rather than the white. My metallic accents are silver, so I'm going to try this with the same style frames and cardstock in silver. Can't wait to see it finished!!

I was wondering about your thoughts on using E6000 for this project ? I'm afraid in my house the thing will fall apart lol. ( we can't have nice things lol). Just curious.....how well do these lanterns hold up with hot glue? Sometimes, I have found that hot glue tends to pull loose on some surfaces over time; especially those that are pre-painted (gloss). What have you found? Thanks!

If you've said this before I apologize, I don't always get to watch sound but why don't you remove the black tabs that hold in the glass? You can always hot glue the glass to the frame so there is no need for those tabs plus it would look so much prettier without them. Just wondering.

Irma Brooks in this video I pulled the tabs back so you don't see them and glued the glass. I don't always pull them for a couple reasons ..... time (especially doing 10 frames) and because sometimes they break the frame when you pull them out, as long as they are pulled back you won't see them especially when we do the decoration part.

Love your videos. Wish you would remove the ugly black metal tabs from the frames. They ruin the look of your fabulous lanterns and all you have to do is use a small pair of pliers to pull them out. Since you've glued the glass in, I don't think you need them and they are so unsightly. You are so talented! Please don't be offended, just trying to help because you are awesome!
