DIY: 550 Cord Bino Harness

Do you want an easier way to transport binoculars on your person. This harness method uses 3 items, is very inexpensive and an easy DIY project for all skill levels.

Thanks so much! I made one in about 15 minutes, once I found the spring clip. My barrel swivels were too small so I just ran the cord through the bino holes without a clip. Works great! I also added a second loop about 6” below top guide loop…it keeps the underarm straps more horizontal. My first one was made of 750 paracord, but then I made the final one out of 1/8” amsteel. The paracord actually slides better, but the soft amsteel is more comfy and slides just fine. Thanks again! Bruce

I made something very similar a while back. I didn't think to use swivels. Great idea. Name brand harnesses are crazy expensive.

I made this today and just tested it out birding. My toggle is a bit loose so the harness doesn’t stay tight. Otherwise it works great!
