My 10g planted betta tank is mostly clear. However, if I look closely, I can see little particles floating around in there. I've been looking at DIY water polishers. But, all the videos involve using powerheads and bettas don't like a lot of current. So, I think I just found what I was looking for. Thanks.

Wow man awesome video! I’ve got oscars, which are notorious poop machines. I’m running 3 XL sponge filters, and a HOB penguin 3xx something, on a 220g. You’re right even after gravel vacuuming, there’s so many small particulates! I’ve got the perfect container, 1gallon ice cream tub. I’ll plastic coat it black, then build it. Good comparison, thats a lot of flow from the mesh top, ~idea, my MBBR uses(1/2) colored containers that enhance the patina. And please keep that little honey love heart off my comment, thanks.

Thanks I originally drilled the cover and ran it for a day but I wasn’t satisfied with it. Then I tried the mesh and it was much better. MBBR? You know you ❤️the ❤️😂.
