Is it necessary to paint?And do they need to be sealed? Thank you.🌸

Hi Marianne. I don't think it is necessary to paint; however, I do think it is necessary to seal. Especially since it will be around water. Air-dry clay is not like ceramics. It will break down with repeated exposure to water. I love to paint mine with acrylic paints just for the color. You could use any sealant. I like Modge Podge or Makers Magic. I prefer a satin finish. There are gloss and matte finishes, too. Happy creating!! Would love to see what you make! Thanks for asking.
