For those who want to know how to tune a plate reverb, this episode might be just what you're looking for. The video starts with some basics on tuning a plate reverb. It then moves on to mounting the driver and pickups and finishes with the final installation of the entire system at LBA Studios.

When taking the box downstairs, I was nervously thinking those pickups permanently glued to the metal plate would risk getting some damage to them. That steel frame and heavy plate with light supports do have some little flex to them. I would have glued them after moving the unit in place. Also, the placement of the supports to the plate could affect the plate's resonance. Like finding a guitar's harmony with finger placement. There are sweet spots to connect supports, just need to find them. I've just seen this video, If you already thought all of this, never mind me. Good job.

I think a wax polish type compound would be better than WD-40. WD-40 had a bad habit of collecting any dust floating in the air. Happens when I coat with oils and WD-40 on tools and equipment in my garage.

Not a bad idea at all. It is in a sealed cabinet and mounted vertically. I checked it about a year ago and there was zero signs of visible dust.
