Let me know what you're thinking about putting animated eyes into.

This is a super cool idea! I'm impress by your creativity. I'm not good with electricity and wires, so yeah... I was very impressed by your knowledge. I love the result. You have something unique and creative! The brown eyes were my favorite. Congrats on the 1000 subscribers, by the way. This is well deserve!

Hi Val, you're so sweet, thank you! I appreciate you noticing the 1000. Now as far as electricity, if you go and read the description, it's been pointed out to me that there is an option for people who don't want to cut the wires in assembling these eyes. There's simply a connector you can put between them. I was not aware when I made the video of this connector, plus I was working with stuff I already had on hand. Moral of the story is, if you don't want to cut wires and do all of that, you can buy an adapter. I also like the brownish eyes. That is what I will be using. ♥️

Very cool. I think an even cooler option would be to make a black frame for the screens to block out all the electrical parts.
@FrightmanАй бұрын
Thank you so much. I do believe I will be doing that. I think I'll just use a piece of cardboard, cut it out. Spray paint flat black and lightly glue it in there. Thanks for adding to the ideas.

Hey, thanks for the input, I appreciate this. I have some other projects I need to get to but probably after Halloween.

This is aweome man i got the eye upgrade for my skeleton and ive been wanting to do something with the old ones. I was thinking about putting them in some bushes scooby doo style haha ohhhh or eyes for a creepy painting

I love both of those ideas. Actually I had thought about getting another set of these and putting them in bushes. I think that would be really really cool. Thanks for checking it out, appreciate you.

You do know that Amazon has an adapter to connect the power supply to the eyes connector it would have 2 female connections one on each end kinda like a splice.
@FrightmanАй бұрын
Yes, I did not know this when I made the video but it has been pointed out to me and I appreciate you letting me know as well. And I believe I have updated the description of this video with a link for that device. Thanks again!

Looks good! From the looks of your power plugs (you cut off), are 5mm females, tip..you could of purchased a 5mm female to female adapter and wouldn't of had to cut and splice anything.
@na_dann_mal_losАй бұрын
Another tip: use a multimeter to determine the right polarity. Even a LED will do. So there's no risk to destroy sensible electronics which don't like reversed current.
@FrightmanАй бұрын
Thanks for the input. I did not know there was an adapter made for this. I have updated the description. I appreciate it. It's my first video to make talking about using an adapter and this is great information for future videos like this.
@FrightmanАй бұрын
I appreciate that. I Don't think most people who watch my channel would have a meter, nor do I, and having to buy one would just be another added expense. I totally get what you're saying. Don't get me wrong, but I've never burnt out an adapter just testing it quickly.
@bear42geoАй бұрын
Another thing.. you should of mention is that power supplies come in hundreds of voltages in both AC and DC, and that the eyes require X amount of voltage DC/AC so the power supply needs to have X voltage DC/AC to supply the eyes the proper voltage. Otherwise..you'll have crossed eyes that go poof..
@FrightmanАй бұрын
Thanks, I will do that if I have a future video like this but that is why I put a link in the description to the exact power supply I used. I did update the description to include this information. Appreciate the call out.
@CalebGuy-p1oАй бұрын
Neat idea. You should hide the wires by taping them along the inside.
@FrightmanАй бұрын
@@CalebGuy-p1o If I have time I'm going to actually do cardboard cutouts to kind of cover the eyes up and just have a round area for the LCD to show through. And I might do the mouth with the black cloth that allows the light to come through. Still thinking this through.

I wanted a mask to do that with idk how 😮

There are several people that have made a comment. They were going to use these eyes on a mask. I would love to see how that turned out myself.

I recently bought a set of these eyes expecting to use them in a Jack-O'-Lantern. Imagine my surprise when I discovered it had no power source. Thank you for giving an idea of what to do with them. Question... Would it be possible to power more than one set with a single power source? Two sets? Three, or even four sets? (I was hoping to make a multi-eyed freak pumpkin).
@Frightman15 күн бұрын
Hi there, first of all, be sure to check the description as I found out there's an easier solution to not cutting the wires. You can simply buy a connector on Amazon. As far as running multiples off of One power source. I'm sure that's possible but it gets complicated from a wiring perspective and how many amps your power source needs to be etc etc. I am not in a position to be able to give you exact advice on getting that done. If you try it, come back and let me know how it worked as I have bought two more sets of the eyes since they've been discounted this year.
@bobmendel969716 күн бұрын
Why didn't you just use a female/female adapter for the power supply?
@Frightman16 күн бұрын
I did not know that those existed at the time that I did this. I learned afterwards.
@nsvaluto4832817 күн бұрын
I did the same thing to pumkin I just didn't strip any wires found a female to female bullet adapter
@Frightman17 күн бұрын
That's awesome and thanks for letting me know. I'm super happy with the way it looks in my window. It looks much better in person than it comes across on video. I'm sure you can attest to that. I did update the description as I did find out that there were connectors that make this project much easier but I didn't know that at the time that I did it.

Can someone show me how to do this with a portable battery pack for mask use?
@FrightmanАй бұрын
That is very doable and probably pretty easy with the adapters and a battery pack I know of. However, these eyes are probably way too big and heavy to put in a mask.
@Seraph_Horror_ArtАй бұрын
I have the eyes and know they will fit properly into the monster mask I'm working on. I just don't know what I need to get it to work. 6v battery pack with the female adapter? @Frightman
@FrightmanАй бұрын
@@Seraph_Horror_Art sounds like you're on the right track. Don't hold me to it. I haven't tried it out but if you get that female adapter and then you get one of these battery packs from Spirit Halloween it should plug right up and be fine. But hang on to your receipts just in case I'm wrong. Like I said, I haven't tried it out and I'm hesitant to make the recommendation but it should work. www.spirithalloween.com/product/battery-adapter/176479.uts Let me know how it worked or didn't.

The only caveat is these run off of 6 volts, so you're going to have to hook up a battery pack to your costume with 4D batteries
