Thank you for the comparison. I was surprised how similar the results were. I have seen more and more of ultrasonic misters as an alternative to ice and it is a game changer. My plan for this year was to set up 3-5 foggers and have them alternating to keep the fog flowing. Hopefully it doesn't overload anything
@OldSchoolHaunterАй бұрын
Thank you :-) Fog results are close to each other. The idea to have the foggers run alternating is pretty cool, so you have a constant flow. I would start with 3 foggers and see how it works and the add additional ones. So good luck with your idea and Happy Halloween 👻👻👻

The only build video I have seen that states the ground gets wet with the ultrasonic misting machines... thanks for the info

I use a high output fog machine with the ultrasonic "chiller". I used a huge ice cooler to hold the water and it lasts for several days. I've also used scented oil to make the fog smell good. I just uploaded a short so you can see how much it puts out if you use a bigger machine and water "box".

Nice work. The amount of fog is really impressive and compared to the traditional one with ice, I think the fog is much thicker. :-)

You need a float for that ... they make them for the ultrasonic mister so with the float it floats exactly at the correct level so you get max mist using it and can add more water so it doesn't run out of water... also if you extend the pipe the length of the area you want the fog to cover and put a slit along the pipe the fog will travel farther because of less resistance... you can also add an inline fan to boost the distance
@OldSchoolHaunterАй бұрын
OK interesting thing with the float. I understand what you meant and what it does. Sounds very interesting :-) But I never saw such a thing. So I have to keep my eyes open for it. About the slit in the pipe. I don't understand, why this should work. If you have a slit along the pipe, then the fog will come out of it. Or is this behaviour intended and planned like this? I haven't tried it yet, so it sounds interesting too. Have you tried that?

@@OldSchoolHaunter What he means is if you were to say run it along the edge of the house, the fog will seep out the entire length of the hose creating a large blanket of fog across the yard coming from the house. Others drill holes every foot or so for a similar effect.
@OldSchoolHaunter29 күн бұрын
Ah ok understand. Yes you are right. I use pipes with some hole drilled into them my home haunt to achieve the effect you mentioned. But I didn't used them in this video here. But yes I agree with with you, when talking about to create blanket of fog. So thanks for mentioning this here :-).

Great video, thank you. Do you have a link for the ultrasonic mister that you used? thanks
@OldSchoolHaunterАй бұрын
Thanks :-) I have a link for a similar ultrasonic mister. Sadly the one I got last time is no longer available. I hope the link works for you since I use Amazon in Europe. amzn.to/3ZlQxbx ** ** affiliate link

As a CON for the 2.0 machine, you should have mentioned the mist machine is 150 bucks.
@OldSchoolHaunterАй бұрын
I didn’t talked about the price, that’s right 😔 But I’d thought I mentioned it is expensive. Didn’t I? But this is important to take into account. 👍 I got mine from Ebay for 90€ as a special offer.

If you don't have ice packs (or don't want to buy them) just freeze some bottles of water
@kaylabradshaw5922 ай бұрын
Can you put some frozen water bottles in the mister to make the fog stay even lower to the ground?

You mean, you want to combine both techniques? I haven’t tried yet but you‘ve made me curious to see what will come of it. Will make an update on it. Thanks for the question 👍

@@OldSchoolHaunter You're killin me smalls, haha. I have a party in like two weeks. We've got a 1000w and 400w fogger, need to know if its worth spending all this extra money for misters etc or if I should just go cheap with an ice chiller LOL
@paulmillar477413 күн бұрын
I am not quite sure I understand why you would buy the ultrasonic mister and still use the fog machine? Isn't the idea of using the ultrasonic mister to replace the fog machine? It seems to be quite a bit of an expense to replace ice.
@OldSchoolHaunter11 күн бұрын
yes and no ;-) First of all, you are right, when talking about the money. Such a ultrasonic mister is quiet expensive. So why combine it with a fog machine? When you want fog in a small area, using a mister only may work. But when you have porch in front of the house or you want to fog your entire garden, then a ultrasonic mister will not work. It makes to less fog. So a fog machine can produce a much larger amount of fog (using fog fluid of course) for larger areas. But the problem is, most of the fog will rise up very fast. So the idea is to use the ultrasonic mister to mist the water, and then the fog from the fog machine picks this water from the air the gets heavier. Yes it is a little crazy, I know, and as I said, it is not a cheap solution.
@FubarKen18 күн бұрын
Combine them. Fog machine to mister to chiller.
