I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making such a simple and concise tutorial! I wanted to make something special for my friend to wear for her bachelorette party; I know she loves antlers and flower crowns so I ended up combining the two and added some LEDs to make the flowers glow! She loved it so much but what I loved the most was the fact how sturdy the antlers turned out to be! She got so many compliments on her special night! Keep up the good work, I'm a huge fan of your channel! ^__^

Try sewing or gluing a couple hair clips ( the type they have on hair pieces), to the underside of the hair band. They can grip the hair and help to hold it in place.

Those are so beautiful even just with the tin foil and the you got to the gold gradient and I was so amazed how beautiful this is and the flowers really bring it together and you don't even have to and the flowers I think it would look just as good with the just the chain hanging of it. This headpiece is BEA-U-TI-FUL 💜👍👍👍💜

Just a tip, antlers usually go a bit backwards when growing out the head, and some (like with deer) then curve forward. But that's just if you're looking for something super realistic!

do you think air dry foam clay (crayola) would work for the horns in place of the foil/tape/plaster combo?

Again super late response but air foam clay is known for cracking pretty hard core so even tho it may be lighter, it may not be the best choice.

Where can you find the plaster bandage? Craft stores? It looks exactly like medical cast material! probably because it is... just wonder what brick & Mortar stores I could find that from! It gave your antlers such a realistic look compared to other tutorials i saw using other materials! I love that you can sand it when you're done! If anyone could let me know about the plaster bandage though, that would be great!

@NsomniaksDream3 жыл бұрын
More recently I have worked with a product called Foam Clay and that's a fantastic option as well. It is much lighter than the plaster and you can smooth it out with water while working with it, which would eliminate the need to sand the horns at all :)

Other than the plaster bandage, which you might have to go to an art store for, everything can be found at a dollar store. You can even use wire for gardening or from coat hangers if needed ^_^
@caitlynmaloney26265 жыл бұрын
Could an air dry clay be used as a substitution for plaster?
@faes6471 Жыл бұрын
Some quick tips I found making this myself: - coat hanger wire will NOT work it's too thick - 16 gauge wire is a little too skinny but useable. It doesn't hold its shape as well as the 14g would - 5 yards of wire is JUST enough, but stress inducing because you can't make any mistakes I will add more as I go along :)
