Hi AquaFox, I have followed your tutorial and found it easy. I have constructed 2 for my ADA tanks. However, during maintenance, I spilt some water on it, and the paper side of the foamboard absorbed some water. I recommend anyone following this tutorial (with the same building materials) to add a layer of clear coat spray paint to protect it from absorbing water.

very good presentation !! proposal... instead of instant glue, I would suggest after I tried it .. heated silicone !! the reason is that the instant glue alters the surface ...

Great! I was also thinking about using two led strips, one at the top and one at the bottom to allow doing color gradients like blue to white, etc. Would probably need the back wall to be vertical in this case. I wish you great success with your channel!

you can still use it, besides it is just for the cover of the led light. and then you apply frosted film at the back of the tank

Hello AquaFox.. nice tutorial... i am thinking about to build it with pvc boards... so it will be waterproof. Have you tested already pvc boards?

We never tried but for sure. If you just glue a led stripe onto something hard, and try it on the top, you can see how it works. I think the light of the LEDs will be a mit strong, but you can put something directly next to the stripes, so it won't "hurt" your eyes :))
