You should try the graphite technique: it’s basically you’re first step (drawing the calligraphy with a pencil) and then you fill the entire back of the paper with graphite (you can also use a pencil) and then you put in on the canvas and draw all of the lines again. It will transfer your drawing onto the canvas and you don’t have to do the difficult cutting 😉

Great, I wish I could do this too! I am learning Arabic (MSA) recently, I can already read some sentences, but I still have to learn how to write. I am very interested in the Arabic language and I am starting to get more interested in Arabic calligraphy and Islam.

Find a simple arabic font (e.g. bismillah) on Google images and try copying it. It doesn't matter if you make mistakes I'm sure it will turn out great :)

You can also iuse a projector to project image onto canvas then use a pencil for the outline

An easy way to make a stencil without tracing would be to print out the font you want really large on paper. I made my own but you could do that too. Hope that helps :)

Salam Alaikum. I usually do it the easy way I put the carbon paper under and put my print on it and trace the whole thing on the canvas I find it very easy hopefully you will try next time and find it easy as well I love your work

Safia Younas thank you X I spent a lot of time and created the stencil myself.. an easy way is to print out a picture of the calligraphy you want on a large paper and cut it out to make a stencil... I sketch it myself from scratch

At 7:21 , I think you made a simple task very complicated... You don't have to right first on paper and then cut it and a long process , you can simply write directly on canvas with lead pencil .... Save your time!!! You can make 2 in the same time.
