This is a very nice circular saw slide guide, but it is very costly I estimate $200+, it is good for someone that will use it on a regular basis. The other thing that you may forgot to do is use clamps that can slide on the aluminum rails.

Adjusting the hight of your blade you have different thicknesses simple

you raise and lower the blade as on any circular saw.

As others have suggested, or leave the blade at the deepest setting as the saw glides about an inch or two over the material, similar to a radial arm saw.

I like this a great deal, but the aluminium sections are quite expensive in Australia. The table and rails would have wider applications if the tool could be exchanged, i.e. if the saw can be swapped with a planer and a router, it would be a very useful set in a small workspace. It should not be too difficult to alter the sled to accept modular platens, and create a platen for each tool. Router, planer, saw #1 (wood), saw #2 (metal) would be a great setup. Add overhead power and a vacuum. Unmount the tool for storage and the table could be stored on its side. Adds a lot of versatility.

Yeah fair point, but table saws are cumbersome devices that dominate any workspace. This is portable and storable, plus you can upgrade the skillsaw to mains power. I'm not sure this is the answer (vertical arrangement?) but this is still a problem worth solving, so hats off for trying.

also this will never make clean cuts as the saw will always have a gap to the workpiece. He must have made it vertical and also place a plunging mechanism for the saw plate

K’ DIY ありがとうございます！ 説明不足で申し訳無いです。 あれは、スライドに対して水平を出さないと切り口が真っ直ぐにならないので、丸のこを取り付ける際に毎回水平を出す調整をしなくて良いように、あの黒い金具に押し当てて取り付ければ水平が出るようにする為に取り付けました。 説明不足ですいませんm(__)m

かすかな期待を持ってホームセンターに行き、パイプの径を測ると、呼び径に対し、＋のものーのものがあることが分かりました。そして、なんとーサイズの丁度よいものをゲットすることが出来ました。あるんですねえ。

意外と知られていない10mm位のアルミなら丸ノコでサクサク切れちゃう事実。モノタロウやミスミでカット済み買えば切る必要すらない。穴位置もちょっと位ズレても大きめに空けて組み立て調整でなんとかなっちゃう。設計さえしっかりしてればね。

Ich Baue meine Maschine staltungen nur mit diese Profil .Sie ist etwas teuer aber man braucht nicht zu schweisen man benutz viele teile beispie ECKE als verbindung die teile mit den andere und viele zubehõr gehert da zu, sehr gute Material in verbindungs man kann sie nicht ausenandre nehmen ohne hilf von ratche oder andere hilfs werkzeug. Die einzige nach teil an diese Profil man mus sie schneiden nach bedarf ,da durch fehlt naturlich kleine teile wo nicht da mit viel anfangen kann. Übrigens es gibt auch schwarze abdekungs fūr die nute da mit keine schmutzung in den Schlitz profil rein fehlt.

Oui c'est clair mais il y a bcp trop de profilés ça sert à rien mais en position verticale, au mur c'est interressant et ça mériterait un système de rotation de la machine pour couper aussi dans l'autre sens, sinon c'est top, c'est propre !

These are common materials just not commonly known where to look. . Go to 8020 or orange aluminum or misumi. The linear rails can be sourced on eBay. Good luck

This has got to be a joke . The materials so far have totalled nearly £2000 not including the Makita saw. The 40mm x 40mm aluminium extrusion is priced at £35 PER METER LENGTH in the UK. Yes , Pull the other one.
