I truly LOVE this Marta! It gave me such a thrill to see you using the acorn hats and the bunny tail grass I sent last year. (And yes, the grass was harvested in late summer / early autumn.). As soon as I get home I MUST do something with my matching supplies - you always inspire! And the little peek of Hannah at the end was perfect! ❤️ 💕 🤗 ❤️ 💗

Funny thing about those hats, I didn't know them until #Marta #maremismallart showed today. And, coincidentally, later today I went to the forest to pick up some leaves and then I saw a few nice trees and guess what: they were the ones that grow those little hats. Now I have them as well 😁😘
@donnaconaway93684 жыл бұрын
Hi, Adriana! I hope you do not mind more info about the little acorn hats. I was a teacher and just cannot help myself. The little acorn caps actually have an acorn nut (oaknut) that grows below the cap. Obviously, the acorns had fallen to the ground already. Acorns come from oak trees. Some of the acorns work themselves into the soil and new oak trees grow from the acorns. Oak trees are deciduous trees (not an evergreen) with leaves that turn beautiful colors and eventually fall to the ground in autumn. There are numerous varieties of oak trees in the world.

@@donnaconaway9368 Oh, so sweet from you! I live in Finland now, but I am originally from Brazil and we don't have real autumn and such trees in the region I was born in. Now, thanks to you I know more about the oak trees. And you are still a teacher. Once a teacher, always a teacher, right? I admire your profession with all my heart. :)

Rose hips are so lush looking and perfect red at this time of year. One of many autumn treasures that can be found for free. It's such a shame they are hard to preserve, unless you can dip them in resin? I wonder if Modpodge would help seal them? I love so much the autumn colours we get through this season. Putting them together in a wreath is a perfect way of cheering up your door. This wreath was so very pretty and showed off your collection of nature's wonders so beautifully. Thanks for the inspiration. X Hehe and your little elf at the door, Hannah...perfect ending. X

Thank you for reminding me to put away my spring and summer wreath and replace it by my autumn wreath. Was too busy these days. I always kept buying real "naked" wreaths of different materials to decorate them by myself. But those are either quite pricy (about 10 €) or poor quality. You just showed my a way to do it way cheaper and awesome looking as well! When I saw you with that cardbord circle, I thought it would lack the dimesions, but it doesn't. You can never add too much bulk on a wreath.

Loving it, there are plenty of items to find in nature to use for this. And it makes you go outside and look at things differently as well. For outside I would probably need a different base, because the cardboard would get soaked here in no time with all the rain. But I am sure gonna make me one of these to put outside on the table. Maybe later on I will add some birdfeeding items 😍

Hi 😁 in another video when you were doing the vintage style baubles and you asked for suggestions for filling silicon moulds with something other than clay. I use my hot glue gun..and they are ready in minutes ..you may need to use modge podge on them to paint over. Hot glue is so much fun! You can draw things with it too.you need to use something you can peel it from (grease proof paper,silicon etc)love to see you do a video on this 😍😘🥰

The wreath you made was absolutely stunningly. And it didn’t cost anything. I love you girl and keep on showing us your lovely family it’s so enjoyable I use to watch you when Hanna was inside you. And now she’s in the show. How nice ❤️💕
