Allison, stop doubting your choices. You have great instincts and style. I’m sure the bathroom is going to be a show stopped when it’s finished.

If you have future ceiling repair/installation projects, try using a “Third Hand” tool/support rod if you haven’t yet. My friend just had a ceiling repair job in her garage and her contractor used this and it was very helpful.

We’re you guys able to level the tub ok? I think you mentioned last video the guys you hired didn’t do the greatest job. It’s too late for this job but I sure you’ll find uneven floor and wall elsewhere with old houses. I’m not sure if it’s the correct way because I probably would’ve done the same as you. 😂 But my dad cut shims to level out a subfloor he put under our vinyl floor tiles and tub. They were basically 2x4’s cut on an angle and layered over each joist. In retrospect I guess we could have sistered some 2x4’s next to the joist at a level and then applied the plywood base. We have a Jack n Jill bathroom so the transition looked the same as yours. He milled some oak transitions with the slope on the back so they looked level and caused no tripping issues. Everything has held up very well over the last 17 years since the remodel. I still like the white tile as well. I know it’s daunting to choose such expensive and permanent fixtures for your home. But as long as you go with your gut and stick with classic choices you should be fine. Unless you like to update every so often then your choices can be a bit more bold. Usually, I’d tell you to stick with choices that would’ve been originally in the home. They usually fit the best. Your house definitely has a MCM vibe to it. So I think you have room from traditional to modern. I hope your having fun during this process!😊

If you're covering the drywall, why are you worrying about mudding and sanding? Just curious because it seems like a ton of wasted energy and money
