I bought a grumpy bear on amazon and a cheer bear on sale at walmart for projects like this that way you don't have to cut apart your original ones

Thank you so much for this 💖 I've just gotten my hands on a thrifted Funshine too (totally an impulse purchase) and have decided to make it into a backpack, so this feels like a crazy coincidence that I've happened to come across this video in my research. I'm a very visual learner so this step-by-step vid is rly helping me flesh out my plan, even with my very little sewing experience.

@@brittytoons Hiii I've totally forgotten about your request til now but um my backpack is done! It turned out great for a first time if I say so myself! It doesn't take a lot of stuff but that's just my pet peeve (I like to pack A Lot). Thank you again, having your instructions in mind truly helped 💛

oh my, I have the same model of funshine plush but less bigger, I got him this year by $20 mxn, I think that's almost a dollar. BUT OMG I WOULD LOVE HAVING ONE JUST LIKE YOURS

I just transformed my ugly (and creepy because of the stupid glittery plastic eyes) Easter Bunny plushie, and decided to also decided to turn it into a backpack and now I love it! But I made the straps too short and the pocket to small for my problem if carrying too many unnecessary items I hardly even use 😅. The reason why I wanted to make another bag in the first place

Is it possible I van get a pree made pouch like a pencil cade and use that as the pouch seems like less work

would you recommend this for beginners? I always struggle trying to sew and learning but I really wanna try do this

As a begginer myself I would, it's easy and cute and doesn't take that much time

I deff would recommend for a beginner! The sewing part is a little tricky but there's plenty of videos online besides mine that shows how to do the "invisible stitch" better :)

I would definitely recommend this as a beginner! It is pretty easy. If you are worried that your stitching would look "ugly," I recommend choosing a stuffed animal that is fluffy (the fabric is like faux fur versus the fleece-like material her stuffed animal is made of) because the fur will absolutely hide all mistakes (as long as you don't cut the fur any).
