If sewing a zipper and making a pocket is to advanced you can always just use a small old makeup bag or pencil case and stitch that into the inside of the stuffed animal, saves a lot of time!

Some additional tips for anyone else who wants to try this!: -If your making it from scratch and want to use a commercial pattern, I recommend finding a PDF pattern off of Etsy! There’s a lot good options like she mentioned AND the instructions are much easier to follow than commercial patterns so they’re super beginner friendly. Sometimes they have video instructions! -for the eye indents, do them at the end after the bear head has been stuffed. What I do is put my threaded hand needle right through where I want the eye to be, then have it exit through the CB seam on the head. Do it a couple of times until you like the indent then repeat it for the other eye indent. Then you can sew on button eyes. - if your pocket bag is small, box the corners so it can fit a bit more stuff! It’s when you sew the bottom corners of a bag to make it wider. If anyone has more tips to add, feel free to reply with them!

@smolmuffin3 жыл бұрын
While this is true to a degree, its important as well to supervise your young child with any toy that could have potential hazards and to routinely inspect them for damage that could create a issue. It might not be completely smart to give a toddler a toy with safety eyes, but only doing so with supervision eliminates a lot of the risk.

If you need to shorten a zipper, you can stitch over the new endpoint several times and trim the zipper, leaving an inch or so to prevent fraying from damaging the new end point. If you use anti-fray methods (melt the polyester, pink it, etc.) you can trim it more.

I just wanted to say for the crossbody bag I used an old chain belt I had so if you have some chain you can use that as the strap plus it looks really cool edit: you can also tripple regular thread to make it stronger if you don't have embroidery thread you might want to do more than a triple tho and it's kind of difficult to work with
