If sewing a zipper and making a pocket is to advanced you can always just use a small old makeup bag or pencil case and stitch that into the inside of the stuffed animal, saves a lot of time!

Do you think I could hot glue it since it's unlikely I'd be washing the bag?
@j9_shine

@@Anarchivist343 you could try that but sewing is way sturdier. I'm not a fan of hot glue, it'll eventually fall apart on you and you'd definitely still have to sew the straps in place.

Some additional tips for anyone else who wants to try this!: -If your making it from scratch and want to use a commercial pattern, I recommend finding a PDF pattern off of Etsy! There’s a lot good options like she mentioned AND the instructions are much easier to follow than commercial patterns so they’re super beginner friendly. Sometimes they have video instructions! -for the eye indents, do them at the end after the bear head has been stuffed. What I do is put my threaded hand needle right through where I want the eye to be, then have it exit through the CB seam on the head. Do it a couple of times until you like the indent then repeat it for the other eye indent. Then you can sew on button eyes. - if your pocket bag is small, box the corners so it can fit a bit more stuff! It’s when you sew the bottom corners of a bag to make it wider. If anyone has more tips to add, feel free to reply with them!

Banger video, banger concept, banger tutorial, voice isn’t annoying the way most tutorials are, perfect pace, lowkey hella calming. Basically, love it. And now I have a reason to go to a thrift store >:) I swear thrift stores are treasure troves of goodies. My favorite store atm is the Goldmine. It works with the women’s resource center and gives most of the profit to that center. It also is just better than goodwill because sure it’s smaller, but there’s also less people. Less people is always a plus for me. I have been rambling woopsie

While this is true to a degree, its important as well to supervise your young child with any toy that could have potential hazards and to routinely inspect them for damage that could create a issue. It might not be completely smart to give a toddler a toy with safety eyes, but only doing so with supervision eliminates a lot of the risk.

If you need to shorten a zipper, you can stitch over the new endpoint several times and trim the zipper, leaving an inch or so to prevent fraying from damaging the new end point. If you use anti-fray methods (melt the polyester, pink it, etc.) you can trim it more.

not sure if someone's already said this but a quick alternative to embroidery thread can be doubling or tripling you thread (though this isnt ideal )

Wow I know how to sew but I’ve never done anything with it. This was really fun and easy.

Lovely tutorial. While I cannot sew this well, your video did inspire me to hit up my crochet leftover yarn, which has been piling up.

Just purchased this pattern and will be making this!!!! Im literally so excited! I personally bought it second hand from a seller on etsy and I always get my patterns second hand. I'm hoping to make a few of these bags for my different moods and outfits!❤❤❤❤❤

I just wanted to say for the crossbody bag I used an old chain belt I had so if you have some chain you can use that as the strap plus it looks really cool edit: you can also tripple regular thread to make it stronger if you don't have embroidery thread you might want to do more than a triple tho and it's kind of difficult to work with
