Yes, check the video description. They're a fairly speciality item so home depot, Lowe's, and Ace don't carry them in my experience. Only in person store you might find them at is Rockler woodworking, but I always just buy mine online.

Great video, thorough explanation. Your side rails seemed wider than 3/4", which is all I can find at box stores (except for framing lumber which I don't think you want to use). This makes routing the mortises very tricky. Can you provide what dimension lumber you use for the rails and where to find it? Thanks!

Correct, my side rails are always 1" thick because 3/4" is not sufficient, but the big box stores don't carry thicker than 3/4". The walnut in this video was purchased from a local discount materials warehouse, and the cherry was via Craigslist. Your best bet for good hardwood will often be local places, but again that depends alot of where you live. If you can't find local resources, Woodcraft stores do a pretty good job of stocking a variety of quality lumber in different dimensions, or I've also ordered from the Woodworkers Source website, which ships lumber to your door.

Yes, I just get construction lumber 2x4s or 2x6s. Usually plane them down to leave nicer finish. Often I'll screw them together in kind of a lattice formation to make a stronger unit/easier transportation.
