Always wanted to be able to do things like this. Never learned and was always a clutz and a dummie with tools at an early age. Never had any confidence about being around tools. Watch you do this is so discouraging to me. Greatly admire your skill.
@Gunz4President7 ай бұрын
Thank you but don’t be discouraged. There was a time when I little to no experience around tools either. We all have to start somewhere ! With a little time and patience you can learn you.

I just need that side pice attached back. I believe my wood slabs are a bit heavy for it. Please suggest wood glue and stronger screws!
@Gunz4President Жыл бұрын
The side piece that that slats rest on, on both sides ? If so, your standard interior wood glue will do just fine. As far as wood screws, measure the thickness of the side piece and side rail and what ever that measurement is, get wood screws slightly under or close to that measurement.

How do you put the slots in the headboard so the rails will fit? Great video. Thanks!
@Gunz4President3 жыл бұрын
Are the slots not already routed in the headboard ???
@FMarie-po4mh3 жыл бұрын
The headboard and footboard has 2 holes. The rails have 2 round circles with the bolts inside the circle that screw into the head and foot boards.

@@FMarie-po4mh | Ah ok, I understand now. I've repaired beds with this setup as well. its possible, that said I'll need a picture to see how yours is damaged to walk you through the repair.

Hello I recently found a full size bed but it doesn’t have the size rails. What are all the supplies you used? I don’t have a saw would Home Depot be able to cut the wood like you did in the video?
@Gunz4President Жыл бұрын
They would able to give you a rough cut, which is close to what you need, but more times than not, not as precise as you want so you’ll need your own saw to get them to exactly the length you want. That’s goes for both, table and miter saw. Grab some 1x’s at 8’ some 2x4’s and a box of wooden screw. You’ll also need wood glue, and at least a drill to drive the screws through. Pending how these side rails are connected to the frame, mounting hardware is required as well, but you’ll have to order that over the internet unless your local hardware store sales it. Hopefully this helped.

My new bed didn’t come with the inner piece you glued on so I’m wondering how to add that myself. How do I know what size screws to use so they don’t come out the other side but will go in enough to hold?

Hello. I have a queen size bed rail,, but Need to make it fit a full size bed,, would it be too difficult to cut the desired length off for example the foot side of it and then reconnect the metal hooks?
@Gunz4President3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response but the dimensions are completely different. Queen size mattress dimensions are 80" Length x 60" Width and the Full size is 75" Length x 53" Width so even if you cut the length of the rail by 5" it still wouldn't be a perfect fit width wise. That said, if you don't care that the width of the frame is 7" larger than the width of the mattress then yes. its possible.

Idk if you can help me out but the thing that hold those thing it snapped idk if I can fix it like the thing that hold it cracked idk if you can make a video
@Gunz4President11 ай бұрын
If it cracked, you’ll possibly have to recreate the entire peace just how I did in this video.

My hook rails aren't broken its the internal piece that supports the hooks in the headboard... how do you fix that?
@Gunz4President3 жыл бұрын
That's a much more difficult job, but still possible to repair, providing the material is actually wood but if not might be time to purchase a new bed. But then again, I'd have to see some pictures to be sure.

Did you use an "appearance board" to do that?
