For the mirror I think adding the "stone like" spray paint would be perfect!! Also, adding a sort of cap on wood headboard/wall accent would make it look more finished--especially since you aren't painting anything.

I'm team paint the mirror. Not enough contrast between it and the wall. Maybe a beige or taupe color? You could instead paint the wall beige and leave the mirror white. It'd be another accent wall, but it could blend in nicely if you chose a color similar to the wood slat wall. 😊

I say either paint the mirror a earthy tone color or move the mirror to the entrance of the room. Where you have it now next to the door, just blends in... Everything else looks great!!

It’s the headboard and lighting fixtures for me 🔥🔥. I’m not a fan of the mirror, but maybe painting it an oatmeal color, may help.🤷🏽‍♀️ I think some cute minimal bamboo window treatments would be cute too.

I think for the mirror it would look nice if you added more insulation foam and dry dex and add to the shape of the mirror making it a little more rounded around the edges so it gives an oval-ish or wavy effect. And maybe paint it grey-ish beige to give more of a stone effect

I suggest using regular joint compound instead of drydex, I used to use it but it’s so dry and actually less user friendly because of that and dries out so quick. With regular joint compound you can add water to rehydrate and get the consistency you need specifically per project

Mirror Suggestion: Since you said you want a stone/ concrete look... seal it with mod podge (like you mentioned) and try a textured spray paint. They have "stone" and "pebble" textures from what I see on google. Love the vid and the DIYs ❤ 1:07:39

your garage looks so good. its like you took a photoshopped image and put it behind you in editing. like wow you just make your dreams come to life that easy?? i think the mirror looks weird because its such a similar color to the wall. i would paint it light brown or beige to match the other pieces. theres also nothing above it or above the door and its not super tall which could also mess with the way it looks if that makes sense. plus that its no space between the mirror and the door itself. i again will say i manifested an updated house tour because i was wondering when we would get another one!

36:44 for your next spray insulation foam project, maybe try using a rasp to file it into shape after carving away the majority. That might help with getting things a bit smoother and getting rid of a lot of the crevices

I totally love those pink cabinets next to you. Some graphics companies that make graphic designs on t-shirts and sports jerseys can, or can recommend, someone who does embroidery. i.e. my grandson works for a company like that. They don't do the embroidery, but her does, so if someone comes in and wants embroidery done on a hat or shirt, etc, they recommend him. I love the mosaic tiling on the cubed case. I never would have thought to do that. I love your beach art. On the mirror, I would paint it similar to the color of the sand colored bed cover. I really love the whole room. Raven I love how you put out what you envision and aren't afraid that your project may take a turn. Also what about stone coarse texture spray paint. There may be a color that is still similar to the current color, maybe test on a patch separately before the trying the whole mirror.
