Hello Ruby! I used a long sleeve shirt and traced the sleeve. It's the same shirt I used for in my 2 piece bathing suit tutorial. 😊

Hello there! I actually bought 2 yards, but only used about a yard and a half. I'm a size s/m, 4-6 just to give you an idea of the amount I used for sizing. Hope that helps. 🙂

I was with you until you did the sleeves. How did you cut it? I followed you to the T, or at least I thought I did. Lol. I just can't get this sleeve right. Can you be a bit more descriptive? The top part of my sleeve is not as wide as yours, so I can't stretch the material over the arm hole. What am I doing wrong?.

Hello Alicia! Sorry you're having difficulty. So for the sleeves. As long as your tracing the sleeve that goes with the shirt you're using for the pattern, the sleeve should line up with the arm hole (check out the link in the cards for the top pattern I used for this tutorial). When you line the sleeve and the arm hole together you shouldn't be stretching to fit. You're simply lining the raw edges together. It may seem like you need to stretch because of the curves and your sleeve is round and maybe narrow at the top (depending on the type of shirt you're using), but just take your time, used as many pins you need to hold in place on each side and it should work. Also, I have a few other tutorials with tops/sleeves you can check out that can give you a better visual idea. I know that was a lot, but I hope it helps! 😊

Another thing if you watch and see as I'm pinning I turn the sleeve in the same direction as I'm pinning. That will help you with more give and prevent you from needing to stretch the fabric. Ok, I'm done lol.
