DIY Bird Brooder Box

Hey y'all,
This video shows how I was able to recycle the parts from a chicken incubator in order to make a travel brooder box for caring for baby birds. While not particularly fancy, this brooder box accomplishes what I wanted for a fraction of the cost of commercially available models.

so is a brooder box and a incubator the same thing? Can I just leave my baby parakeets inside of the incubator I'm incubating their eggs in? I've assumed until now tht I could but I'm unsure now.

You could use the incubator as a brooder. An incubator is designed to promote eggs hatching, whereas a brooder is designed to help the birds grow/develop. A brooder usually gives a bit more room and has the ability to lower temperature so that the bird can acclimate as it grows, an incubator usually has greater control over temperature and humidity.
