This is probably the best survival channel for how to make stuff post-societal collapse (whatever form it takes). Quite a simple recipe: plastic bottles, tie-wraps, wood, time and a few screws in the right places. This 'bottle boat' is a very practical idea and very easy DIY project for just about anybody who's willing to put in the time. And the great part is that it's 90% tool-free! It reminds me of a visit to the Virginia Air Museum. All that big technology around in hangars and in the small display cabinet sandals made from old worn US Army truck tires that were used by Vietnamese people. It was stunning to me. It is not an art to build something when all materials and resources are widely available. It's an art to do something by using minimum or almost nothing.

@Michael Keegan How about gyrocopter? It's not too complicated and can be built with stuff you can buy from hardware store. But flying at high altitude comes with a risk. I'm not sure if he is willing to take the risk.

If someone wanted to build an unsinkable boat or raft, this would be the way to go. If you used 2 liter PETE soda pop bottles, it'd be practically indestructable - those soda bottles are pretty strong.

As usual i was over thinking. At 0:27 I was like, what if a crocodile jumps out and tosses this thing? This build is really amazing. I definitely try this some time.
