I'm surprised what amazing results this gave and wouldn't have expected a bob to be done with pony tails. Your tips and explainations are outstanding to help achieve a great hair cut.

It took me some trial and error! I want to almost try and see if I can adjust the ponytails some more to make the dry cutting possibly less! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thank you so much for taking the time to comment!

Outstanding step by step comparison. The angling and texturizing makes a difference, which doesn’t always happen from my experiences with stylists. Love both cuts! 🙌

I like the ponytail cut better. I like that graduation in the back and the extra longness in the front. The salon cut is perfect though. Since the Bob is the most difficult cut, the fact that you did it so well both times is a testament to your talent.

I have been cutting this style on myself for almost two years now, thanks to your fabulous tutorials, and have discovered that because I can't see my whole head at once, cutting the perimeter all the way around first keeps the angle correct, the length balanced, and the perimeter strong. I then section it off and cut the layers for movement more precisely. BTW, your hair looks fabulous as always!

@@StylesBySummer YES! I'm a curly girl, myself. Is there anything that I should do differently from this method, to account for the curls? I have thick, semi-course hair, with medium size curls. Also, when I get my hair wet, it immediately curls up like crazy, so I have trouble getting the length even on both sides. Any advice?

Man, if I could work all around my head I could do this, even without the tie ups but I don't trust someone who is not a hairdresser to do it for me. I don't even trust some hairdressers who will sometimes do the opposite of what you ask, even when you explain it clearly, because maybe they can only do one type of haircut? I don't know, but it's happened to me before so I get a bit apprehensive before going for a haircut. Lucky for me my hair grows normally, even a bit fast so it's not the end of the world but when you pay good money for it you want to get what you ask for. By the way I just got a haircut and I'm happy with it, but I still like watching diy videos. I would help a friend with this, thank you.

Thank you for this!! Today i was able to follow and fix a botched haircut and it actually turned out really good! I'm super happy with it and although I was totally scared when I started, I'm happy to report it got rid of the mullet I recieved when I had asked for soft layers. I will never again go in without a picture if I ever go to a stylist again!! I actually want to grow it out and I think I can cut my own way easier if it's longer. Great video!! Helped me more than any high priced hairdresser ever would have!❤

I appreciate you so much for this. I have such fine hair I don't love a lot of the other diy haircuts out there on myself but I can't afford getting my haircut professionally right now so I just let it get long and scraggly until it bothers me so much I try to lop it off myself with mild success. It doesn't look terrible but I find myself wishing I could cut my hair into something that suits me instead of having such limited choices. This is perfect. 🙏 Wish I'd found you sooner! I'm excited to give this a go 🥰

Summer!💕I absolutely love the ponytail cut without the corrections. I’m definitely going to use this method to correct my DIY bob. I was leery about the rubber band method creating a short crown that’s not blended with the sides, which was what happened to me a couple of years ago using a different rubber band placement I saw on a different channel. This turned out so beautiful 🌸

Love your videos, but quick question, it is very annoying to see the heads bubble back and forth. Has the industry not come out with a better stand for you stylists so that the head doesn't wobble so much? I've seen this on several KZbin videos with different stylists and they all seem to have the same issue. Just curious as to why there doesn't seem to be a better way to hold the manequin.

Gurl sos My hair is fd up help me fix it while we're 12000km far away from each other lol My hair length is above the shoulders but from behind my ear is layered to the front way shorter than the back How to fix it? I love layers but mine are disconnected If i made the ponytail wolfcut/butterfly is it gonna fix it or make it worse? Or just to cut it at the same length and that would be way too short and it doesn't flatter me
@StylesBySummer7 ай бұрын
It sounds like the most ideal to blend is to bring up the length. You don't have to be it up fully to match but clothes the gap would help. Do you have layers in the back at all right now?
@Rana-iu8yz7 ай бұрын
@@StylesBySummer no i don't have layers at the back
@StylesBySummer7 ай бұрын
@@Rana-iu8yz it might help if you added some to make it look more balanced if it's super layered in the front. I wouldn't do them super short, but some to add more movement.
