Lindsey's message made me cry. I was growing up relatively poor, so we didn't really have money to spend on big presents, but I don't remember them, either way. What I do remember is cooking pies and dumplings with my Granny, making garlands out of used bus tickets and milk cartons and plowing through the snow with my brother and parents in the nearby forest. That was special and lovely and fun. Things don't really matter, after all. Feelings and people do.

As a partner of a letter carrier for the USPS in Portland, thank you for saying that. My husband has been working a minimum of 11-hour days, often going days without seeing our toddler because he leaves before he wakes up and gets home after bedtime. Please thank your letter carriers, and if you feel called -- leave a basket of treats for them! It really helps during these long and stressful days.

You're never too old for a blanket fort 😊 I sometimes build one to read in. It was raining heavily last time and the noise on the roof and windows made everything that much more comfortable. It then feels like you have a place where nothing can happen to you.

I lost my mom last year to cancer, and the holidays are so difficult. These daily videos are so cozy and cheer me up. This video brought back sweet memories for me of the forts my niece and nephew made every day when I kept them. The sweet message at the end reminded me of sitting and looking at the tree at night. Love the fort it reminds me of the one in the movie the holiday. The Holiday is my hubby and my christmas eve tradition we watch it while eating Christmas fettuccine and always pause for hot chocolates when they have them in the movie. the popcorn are going to exploted because of the microwaves heating them from the inside, everything you put on must be when they are still hot, if they are too dry maybe its cause it needs a tiny amount of oil, if you are dispossing the bag, you can put some spray olive oil (even one with spices such as garlic or herbs) before you put it on the oven! I am always so happy to see new things in every day cooking! greetings from Mexico
