Hey Liam, thanks so much for this awesome video, it was just wat I was looking for! Although I have zero experience working with electronics, I had planned on making my own dual foot switch for my Boss MS-3. But when I looked up the price of the components I realized it'd be way cheaper just to buy a ready-made one from China. It just arrived, but I couldn't make it work with the MS-3, then I read somewhere I need it to be normally closed instead of open (and I'm guessing the one I bought is wired normally open). I feel really stupid for asking this, as I'm sure these are the very basics of working with electronics, but do you by any chance know how I would have to wire it when I'm not using polarity switches? The enclosure is simply too small for additional switches and I'm guessing I won't need it anyway, right? Sorry for asking you this, hope you won't mind!

Oh and btw, my pedal contains two momentary dpdt switches and I'm guessing the output jack is called a dpdt (stereo?) jack. It has three pins on one side and three on the other, similar to the connections on the dpdt's.

AliExpress or a local diy pedal company or a Hammond enclosures dealer(most major electronics dealers) Not sure of your local but the smallest enclosure you could pull his off in is a 1590A. 1590B Is a bit bigger. 125A even a bit more.

I'm curious will this work with my Boss Katana 50. I believe you can use the FS6 with it.

Yes it will work with any product that uses the FS6.

Liam i copy what you do, but i have a problem. For sure im making a mistake. When i press the footswitch, they change to the other channel/bank, but, when i lift my foot, it comes back to the original bank/channel. I did it without the toggles, and its the same. Maybe, the footswitch its not dpdt? or the toggle spdt?

It sounds like you may have used the wrong type foot switch. Make sure they are DPDT and are momentary switches.

@@mpacardo10 the switch can only transform de footswitch between closed and open. Dosent do anything important if you are gonna use it for changing banks or chanel. Use only Footswitch, stereo jack and stereo cable

Great video - quick question - for use with an RC30 are the spdt switches required ?

if you only want to use it with the RC30 you can just wire it to work with that permanently. the switches just let you use it with different pedals.

LiamOConnorAudio - thanks for reply - i picked up a Mosky dual momentary switch but doesnt seem to do what is expected - ie single tap right switch start memory scrolling up ; double tap changes channel ; left switch single tap scroll down ; double tap fx on/ off : press both switches simultaneously - stop mem scrolling ; hence ask re polarity as this is not really practical asis

Yes that sounds like how this pedal behaves when the switches are set to the wrong positions.

Its an inkjet printer waterslide decal. You can get them pretty cheap on amazon or ebay and some stationary supply stores.

The FS6 requires a battery. I guess it's just there to operate the LEDS?

Yes this version does not have LEDs and so it does not need any power source.

Yes I think you could depending on how you wire it up. You would lose the ability to switch the pedals indivually then though.

This seem misguiding, because there is no way that this circuit can do latch or unlatch without relay and temporary switch, so this is not a fs6 clone, just a "simple" double footswitch with reversible polarity wich is about half of what the fs6 is about.

Ho costruito anche io il pedalino che hai progettato, ti assicuro di aver acquistato i componenti giusti e di aver eseguito attentamente il montaggio da te proposto. Non funziona bene! Non va bene! Ho acquistato poi il pedale originale. Ciao
