iv tried doing this but was a bit more slack. only had a stick welder with mild rods and no blow torch to burn out the oil. didn't do any proper measurements of the lobes but made sure the timing wasn't too much off. added about 2mm of lift and made the exhaust have a longer duration. have had the motor running and has a lot better response once tuned. still need to mount it to a mower and test it under load. nice work with the editing for being new btw

I'm working on a bodge jet boat, have the jet drive but it can only take 25~7 hp so will be doing this to a 420cc cam, + a carb and take the governor off it should be around 20hp~ ish i hope.

What is the result of this modification? Did you start the engine?

Hey! So this is part of an ongoing series so I haven’t yet started the engine or heard it run but I’m super excited to see how it goes!

Hey man! So I'm actually working on editing a pt2 as I'm replying to this. I know it's been a huge gap between vids but I've done tons of work on it. I made a Billet Head and rod, taught myself to weld aluminum then made custom engine mounts, and installed 22lb valve springs to work with the new cam! I ran into issues with a broken tap in the intake so I don't have it running yet, but it turns over with no problem and fires on brake clean!. It'll be a ripper once it's done. I appreciate your patience.

You need to install different springs to bring the valves back plus new and stronger seats, waste of time

I get what you're saying! In part 2 which I'm editing rn I install 22lb valve springs. I didn't bother throwing in new valve seats because I couldn't be bothered lol. I just have to make sure I'm recording when it blows up!

he's not the first to do this as its an old-known trick that I have tried myself and has worked very well. the way you have put your response it sounds like you'd think adding a turbo to your car is useless without a better transmission. it might help but isn't essential if you are responsible about it. try making your response nicer next time

Your intro music is three times louder than your voice. Why do so many people do this? You aren't making friends by blasting people's eardrums.

I'm sorry man! I'll make sure to turn it down in the next one. My bad I'm new to editing
