The van was still pulsing and shaking during braking, so I decided to change the whole front brake rotor and bearings to upgraded OEM ACDelco parts... I changed the pads to ACDelco OEM semi-metallic last week but didn't fix it, but this did fix the problems! So don't by cheap crap off ebay, buy name brand!

Edgard González I’m sorry but I don’t know if the spindle diameter or bearings are interchangeable between 5 and 6 lug brake rotors

Okay so I just changed the front bearing on my passenger side I didn't have time to do the other side yet I put it for a light spin and quickly notice that I most likely did something wrong. Because it feels like the wheel wants to break off. I have already been having problems the steering I do have a loose tie rod or at least i think it's loose. So I am already expecting it not to drive perfectly but i just made it drastically worse. I don't know exactly what I did wrong. But it is morning now and I going to redo it using your video instead of the 5-minute video

I hope you find the problem. I’m no expert but be patient and think it through and should be ok! Good luck! Thanks for watching!!!

@@metal422life If it doesn’t turn smoothly or feels tight then the axle nut is way too tight , the brakes are too tight ( compress the piston) or something wrong like bad bearings, wrong bearings or some sort of misalignment or interference. Good luck!

good job, im about to change mine. but dont grease the stud
@bobsbarnworkshop

I’ve greased every stud on every car I’ve ever own in the last 50 years... never had one get loose , never had one rusted on... not advice but my personal choice. I’ve snapped off way too many in the past that were seized or rusted on to not do it!

I have a 97 astro do you think replacing the rotors are the same.
@bobsbarnworkshop
@bobsbarnworkshop 5 жыл бұрын
I would make an educated guess and say if not identical it would be very similar if it’s two wheel drive. AWD has a separate rotor and bearing hub, so if it just needs rotors it would be easier and cheaper.

Got everything from Amazon, on my doorstep in a day or two, cheaper than the local auto stores... DO NOT buy no name parts! Get genuine AC Delco parts. I made that mistake the first time, ended up replacing them in a few months! Good luck!
