Thank you for great tutorial. I love seeing the finished item first and having a small picture of it on the screen during the entire tutorial. I can't wait to give this a try too!

I learned to sew on the machine yesterday, my mother didn't have time to sew this bag for me (I already cuted the fabric, etc.) so she preferred to teach me so I could do it myself, it was very difficult for me, it took these past two days, the bias ended up missing when I still needed to do one internal side of the bag, I had to use a different bias, the stitching get all crooked and horrible 😅 But the important thing is that I managed to finish the bag, it is functional and without holes. My mother said that it is a complicated project for someone who learned to use the sew machine in one day, I did very well and my bag is great in her opinion! I think what contributed the most to this was the great tutorial! When I have more practice with the sewing machine and etc I will try to make the bag again, with some changes because I am using it for a very specific purpose (to store my drawing and drawing study materials) and other fabrics, the ones I choose went up soooo ugly😅😂

Your story is so inspiring! Learning to use a sewing machine in just one day and completing a complex project like a bag is such an achievement.👏👏👏🎉😊

Thank you for the tutorial ❤ I’m planning to use the outline of this design and customise it as a zippered book cover (with handle and maybe add a pocket in front)

Nice tutorial as always! Thanks. I have a project ideia for you: running pouches, very slim and basic to go exercise. I know is kinda like the waist bag but for exercise it need to be more tight so your objects don't just flop around. LOL Another idea is a arm band to put your phone (also for exercise). Maybe one of those interests you =)
Where do you get the mesh type fabric you are using ? Thank You

I watched and took notes as best I could. It was difficult to know when you used interfacing or fleece. It didn't say. I hope I can make this.
@caslynjiles43542 жыл бұрын
The fleece was used on the outer fabric and on the small rectangle piece that was attached to the main zipper. The interfacing was used on the part that becomes the pockets. Hope that helps you!

Hello, thanks for sharing. I have a question, how to calculate the length of the fabrics that you sew around the rectangles (17x2 and 45x2). I want to make this project a little bigger. Greetings.

I've been tinkering with my own designs for such a pouch, and could never figure out how to attach the zipper cleanly. Thank you for this tutorial! What's your method for gauging measurement proportions for different sizes of pouches? I'm thinking of making a 4 by 6 inch pouch and still unsure of zipper length.

Hi, if you are open to project idea: a case for storing interchangeable knitting needles and small accessories like end caps, cable keys, cable connectors. This one almost work, except that the pocket where you attach pens can be changed to loops made from elastic bands to insert needles.

Hello Nancy, just finished it but i'm sorry there is 2 problems or mistakes : 150 centimeters for bias binding is not enough. It lacks at least 30 centimeters. And the zipper closure is not long enough also, it too thight, I think it lacks 4 centimeters.
