DIY Catnip Cat Toy - A Super Easy Cat Pillow Kicker

Thank you for this tutorial. I will start making these catnip kickers for the rescue kitties. I have been making blankets for a non-profit cat rescue along with cat beds and balls that I put catnip in. I've also made mice with catnip in them. I like your method of turning back the ends prior to sewing the length of the tube. I have some canvas duck I think I may use instead of sewing fabric or fleece after reading some comments about using heavier fabric. 💖💖👍👍

This was a great pattern and I made it super quick. But I used a soft cotton flannel for the cover. My cat loved it so much that he torn right through the fabric to get at the catnip. When using this quantity of catnip, I recommend a heavier fabric. I’m going to re-cover them with rips top nylon!

Hello. Yes this cat toy is washable and dryable. However, after washing you will need to add new catnip by opening one of the end seams, adding new catnip and sewing it closed.
