DIY How to Make Cat Toys | Kicker Pillow and Taggy / Tag Pillow | Bravo Dada

In today’s video I’m going to show you how to make two different cat toys. They make a great gift for your furry friends and they will love it!
Important note: I use the metric system and make the exact conversion from cm to inches in the hope of helping. Please adapt these measurements to your ruler.

The materials and techniques I used are the ones I thought were the best for me as a self-taught creative seamstress. It doesn’t mean they are the best for you, so feel free to use your creativity and make it your own! You can adjust the measurements as you like and also add other features.
Kicker Pillow:
2 fabric pieces: 26cm | 10 15/64” x 10cm | 3 15/16”.
6 Cotton Cords: 20cm | 7 7/8” long.
Polyester hypoallergenic fiberfill, as needed, for stuffing the pillow.
Taggy Pillow:
2 minky fabric pieces: 9.5cm / 3 47/64” x 9.5cm / 3 47/64”.
12 pieces of ribbon: 8.5-11.5cm | 3 11/32-4 17/32” long.
Polyester hypoallergenic fiberfill, as needed, for stuffing the pillow.
Needle size:
90/14.
Seam Allowance:
0.7cm / 9/32” (cotton cords and ribbons);
1cm / 25/64” (pillows).

These are so cute but I would machine stitch it closed. On many of my sewing groups there have been many cats who got ahold of loose thread and it wrapped around their intestines. Less chance of machine stitch coming undone.
