The chicks are adorable! The breeds we chose for now are: Icelandics, Swedish Flowers & Crested Cream Legbars. Parker & Kellen are soakin' up all the cuteness. They're excited to finally be lil chicken keepers! The coop is ALMOST done whoop whoop.👏Joe's been hard at work...he never ceases to amaze me. 🥰These chicks are more than just chicks. They're our future laying hens & mark the beginning of our Alaska homestead & our pursuit to living a self-sustaining life again as much as possible. Parker is such a tender hearted young man. Even though he loves Kellan and is excited to have a brother, it's hard for a basically only child to share his mom and dad. I'm glad that Parker got to spend some quality time with dad, and Kellan got to spend some quality time with "Alaska mom." The boys are adorable playing soldier, and their Burger King waitress was hilarious! It's so refreshing to see kids playing outside using their imagination the way God intended. Aww The Poky Little Puppy was one of my favorite Golden Books when I was a little girl. It was so sweet to see you and Kallen reading together. I am sure he enjoyed his special time with you. Also I wanted to tell yall about two dog food brands that we found after doing much research for our dogs. One is called RedPaw 23k & 32k. This is high protein food with excellent ingredients for high energy and working dogs. A lot of dog mushers use this brand. Another one is called Wholeness. This has been the "cleanest" dog food brand we have found and is what we feed to our dogs now. :)

I have to be brutally honest here. When I first watched one of your vids, it was at the time when you were first moving to Alaska. And I have to say, Tina, that I thought the vids were a lot about you and how you like to decorate, and your skin regime, and a lot of girly stuff. So I didn’t push the subscribe button but thought I would keep an eye on your vids to see how they pan out. Well they have gotten better and better and actually show how life is in Alaska, what the trials and tribulations are. I like how Kelley has joined your family and watching your boys play together and sled down the hills with the dogs, the remote cabin and watching Joe construct the chook house. As an Malinois owner. Mine is IGP trained. And knvp nest kennel. The breed I would only advise to get. If you are an experienced dog owner. They are literally a mix of toddlers and teens their whole life’s. And yes. We owners call them sharks. They use their teeth and they talk back. Also if raised right and had basic training. Not puppy training. Proper work and obedience training. The best family protection. Each malicator is unique character trades. Silly. Hyper focused loyal to a fault. And they are smart very smart. Downside. They have a big hunting drive. Do not under estimate ever. Proper training is a must. They will hunt or bite and kill anything if they are not trained in commands Just some honest information if people want them Because they see them. And have no experience with working breed dog bloodlines. Like the malinois.

I think it was also awesome for each of the boys having one-on-one time with you!! I also love seeing the bond between Joe and Kellen! Joe is a great role model for the boys! I love seeing Parker help Kellen with the chicks. So sweet!!
