I love kitties, and I thought I would make some kitty cat tree ornaments! And because the cone shape is so popular for Christmas, the ideas started flooding my head. Here is the first of the ideas I came up with. And they are an excellent Christmas gift or a package decoration!
Welcome to Brenda's *Crafty Handed World*, where ECLECTIC people like you and me want to try their hands at just about everything. I am dedicated to arts and crafts. I love improving, decorating, repairing, repurposing, and creating, and I am here to inspire and entertain you. If you'd like to stay in touch, please *subscribe for ANY future videos*. And I mean all kinds of videos :)
Note: I forgot to mention... before you decorate the kitty with a necklace it is a good idea to varnish the paper cone and ears for more durability. I used a simple decoupage glue/varnish. You could varnish the whole head, actually. If you want a more vintage look, the Antiquing Medium from Stamperia is a great choice of varnish.
Supplies: Christmas cardstock, pasteboard, 1/4" (6 mm) double-sided tape, PVA glue, paper clips, modeling clay, 14 gauge (1,6 mm) copper wire, small jingle bells 3/8" (8-10mm), white chalk paint, metallic wax/ paint (I am using Antique Gold and Rose Gold from Pentart and White gold from Prima Marketing), Christmassy ribbons, beads, trims, metallic rope...
Tools: scissors, pencil, ruler, cutting mat, craft knife, round cookie cutter (1" 9/16" = 4cm), round nose pliers, flat nose pliers, tweezers, low temp glue + hot-glue gun, small paintbrush, painters spatula/butter knife, fine tip permanent pen (Pilot Super Color Permanent in Gold EF or black/white acrylic fine marker...), optional border/trim molds, a school compass
