I could have watched another hour of you creating these vintage ornaments. Absolutely fantastic! These are what I grew up with during the 1950's and 60's. I love the vintage book images these were books I actually read. The sheet music scrolls were one of my favorites. The colors were just perfect on these ornaments. I copied all the images snd being that I dont have a printer I'm going to have to print them at Walmart. No matter I really want to do these for myself this year. Thanks so much for this video that truly brought me back to my childhood Christmases. ❤❤❤

Aww, thank you so much 😊 this made my night! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and that it brought back good childhood memories! However, I can’t take all the credit because my dad let me pick his brain on what Christmas looked like when he was growing up in the 50’s-60’s, so he definitely inspired a lot of these! 💜

In kindergarten we made salt dough ornaments. When I brought it home my dad helped me paint it and it lasted well into my 20s until we had a roof leak and it got wet. Can't wait to make salt dough cookie ornaments with my grandbaby when he gets older.

This by far is my most favorite Christmas video this season!!! Thank you for all the inspiration ❤ I have been making some vintage ornaments the last 2 years and these are going to be some of my favorite to make this year. I never imagined I'd be a tinsel and glitter girl but I just got this desire for the nostalgia decor of my grandma's house. I actually was just checking out the 4ft silver tinsel trees on Amazon earlier lol Go big or go home 🤣 right lol

I’m am definitely not a glitter or tinsel girl normally but I feel like it’s a must for good old fashioned vintage decor. I actually just picked up a 4ft tree today that I’m going to paint with some aluminum colored paint to use until I can hopefully find a real vintage aluminum tree and color wheel 😂

Cute! I made a similar looking snowman head ornament years ago using Snowtex as well. Only I made my nose out of polymer clay and I gave him earmuffs with pipe cleaner and pom poms. I may have used a glass ball ornament as the base instead of foam. It’s been so long I don’t remember for sure. It’s cool how people can have the same idea. I didn’t love mine, so I only made one.
@MamaCanMakeIt10 ай бұрын
Thank you 😊 ! Oh, he sounds adorable! I’m thinking I would have been happier with mine had I used clay for the nose and made it a bit smaller instead of the wooden one. It is pretty cool how great minds think alike especially when it comes to something creative and artsy!

Very pretty ornament!. Thank you for the video and tutorial. I found a little trick to make those cut-up Dollar Tree bead necklaces look like the tiny vintage glass bead ornaments with the silver glittered ends. I cut them apart and put them on some tape (looped, secured to a piece of cardboard, sticky side up) with one side where the thread sticks out of the bead is pressed on the tape, and the other side is sticking up. I add a tiny drop of silver Tulip Glitter Dimensional Fabric Paint on top of that little bit of thread and let it dry completely. I then repeat on the other side. It ends up looking like a tiny vintage ornament that can be used on different craft projects. Thank you again! Have a great weekend! 😊💖🙏🏻

These are all great! I especially liked your book ornaments and the plastic vignette ornaments. Great idea to cut the openings with a hot knife, I’ve looked for plastic ones with openings like that but never considered that I could cut them. And I have to say the top hat from felt and shower curtain rings is brilliant! The only change I would make is to use some orange polymer clay to make the nose for your styrofoam ball snowman. It would probably be cheaper and you could make it custom sized. I’m definitely going to try some of these, thanks for sharing 💕

Thank you so much 😊 I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! I actually was going to buy some diorama ornaments from Amazon until I realized it would be much cheaper and faster to just cut some cheap plastic ornaments and my husband recommended trying my hot knife and it cut them like butter. I enjoyed all your ornaments. I especially liked the faux book ornaments but would have painted the back and sides.

Thank you so much 😊! I will definitely see what I can come up with, I just picked up a tree today I’m going to paint an aluminum color to use until I can get my hands on a real aluminum tree so I will need some more ornaments I’m sure!

Wow! What a great video! I am so inspired to add some of your creations to my inventory for my next craft show. You do a great job with videos. Your instructions are clear and concise. I can't believe how much you covered in so little time.
