Thanks a ton! We opted for a DIY camp this year just because things are still a bit up in the air due to COVID. We are near Yosemite so we have a lot of options for outdoor adventures. Also as a potential suggestion for other leaders, I volunteer with our local search and rescue team. Through SAR I get free medical training and experience which comes in handy when planning trips like this.

We have always done a DIY camp - you’re definitely correct about taking notes and getting better every year. Always crazy stories to learn from! Same for me, I’ve never seen Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, or Harry Potter!

Oh NO!!! Well, it's definitely a lot of work, but YOU CAN DO IT!! As long as you plan ahead and have the support you need, it's very doable. I was terrified to do my first one, but after I finally did it I realized it's possible and it can be a ton of fun!

I created my first camp 2 years ago when I was 19 and it was my 3rd month of being in Youth Ministry. It was REALLY tough, but it taught me so much and it was worth all of the effort.

Hey Kevin! My go to dinners for camp, relatively easy and always camp favorites: - Pizza - Spaghetti with garlic bread & salad - Tacos / Burritos - Chili / Mac n Cheese - Burgers / Hot Dogs
