just buy an 18v caulking gun. i have the Makita sausage style one for edpm. i only have it though as i do regularly paste a run as wide as a hotel or as tall (5 stories of constant beading and edge sealing)

Being a painting contractor for over 50 years , I really don’t see this as practical. And in the hands of a home owner it would be a disaster. Sorry.
