YOU ARE SO TALENTED👕 . Thank you sooooooooo much for your video. I have been considering making PVC raincoats for a while, but have procrastinated, and now YOU have INSPIRED ME to start. Keep up your excellent explanations and moral mannerism of speech. Stay true to yourself HayPaige. Regards Robyn

I LOVE your raincoat! As a plus size mom, I find it extremely difficult to find a good quality raincoat that is 100% WATER PROOF (Yes, some raincoats aren't water proof. They are rain resistant, theres a difference), so I'll be attempting to make one myself. This tutorials is perfect for a beginner. I found a company that sells good quality waterproof material I'll be ordering from. Thabk you for sharing!!!

PEVA is a healthier and more environmentally friendly option compared to PVC. Usually shower curtains are made of PEVA, so go for that over table covers that seems to be made out of PVC. PVC contains chlorine, phthalates, bisphenol-A (BPA), and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The chlorine creates dioxins and furans as byproducts, which are extremely toxic chemicals. Heat can release these, phtalates and other VOCs from the plastic into the air (offgasing).

Do the intex transparent rainbow polka dotted 42 inch beach balls work really well to make a raincoat if you have a lot of them hanging around and do clear pvc shower curtain liners or clear 20mil pvc tarps work really well to make raincoats

I think this could be made from a clear shower curtain less expensive than anything else. I make clear kitchen appliance covers using it. Looks great.

Hello, you can also use Eva material or TPU or polyester material, you can wear polyester one without getting any wet.

PEVA/EVA is a much better choice! PVC offgases toxins in the form of dioxins, furans, phtalates and other volatile organic compounds. PEVA might offgas some VOCs as well, but don't have problems with the first three chemicals mentioned, and PEVA can also be found BPA-free.

Where did you learn how to sew? I am so impressed and envious of your ability to take your own measurements and then create something to custom fit you. I aspire to that!

I´m a little late but maybe someone will answer. I don´t understand about the front piece how the bust width is 33cm and the hem width is 40cm but the lines are still supposed to be straight, right angled down?

Hey! That raincoat is so adorable! One thing though, the camera is really blurry at the end when you're trying it on, because it's clear I can barely see your raincoat! Maybe you could do another video with the raincoat , maybe for festival season? I've been thinking of picking up a raincoat like this for a while but not really sure x

Hi, glad you liked the video! I know it was a little blurry at the end, my camera has auto-focus and found it hard to focus on the coat. I'll likely be putting more pictures up on my blog soon!

How do I clean one of these coats
@HayPaige5 жыл бұрын
Wipe it with a wet cloth. It’s not really going to get very dirty as it can’t absorb anything
@dollreemappmmk145 жыл бұрын
Or you can buy plastic cleaner. It comes in an area of can. It will clean any type of soft or hard plastic. It will make it really shiny and much more clear looking. I use it to clean my clear,stripper shoes. You just spray it on and use a dry cloth to wipe clean.
