❤️ I am very into antiqued/smoked mirrors lately, so those were such a great find. Especially since I really struggled to find sconces that worked with the mirror and didn’t distract or clash.

I was so tired when I wrote my first comment. Here is the unabridged version: the little table you spray painted gold was truly inspired, love that. and, yes, the teapot and cup caddy is like a gift from god, I agree. But the most important thing about this design, is the color combination you went with. I mean... YAY! that yellow with the pink and navy is Fantastic. I love everything about this design, the styles the colors the shapes. and painting the 2 units on the opposite wall white, genius. Great job. It makes me want to see more, like the desk area needs a zhoozh too!! But so far it looks amazing just because of the yellow in the poster. I think the living room could even support that ikea modern chair that was in it to begin with because of the rug and coffee table being more modern. Love it all.

Totally! I didn’t address it in the episode. But she did move that white chair to her office, where it’s happier now. It was deceptively large and really dwarfed the sofa. But I agree on the palette. One thing that seems to be missing in everyone's redo: lighting. While those LED candles are gorgeous, they don’t give off enough light to read by. I always read and watch TV, I am sure others do as well. What would you do here? This is glorious. Absolutely gorgeous. Come do my house?

Great point. We were on a budget, so working with just the biggest pieces. She’s fortunate enough to have a tremendous amount of natural light during the day, as well as a flush mount light in the ceiling. But a nice arched floor lamp is always beautiful. I’m also a fan of wall-mounted plug-in sconces. You don’t have to wire them. Just hang them and they’re a great table side lamp. Katie I love it. What I really like is the tray on the coffee table. You gave me a good idea that my dog can't knock off with his tail. I was having problems with everything I put on that coffee table it would go flying across the room when the dog came around. Love it!!!

Oh, that makes me so happy! If it’s relevant, I’ve also heard museum wax is a great solve if you have things you don’t want to move. I also love a small wide basket with a lid on a coffee table for more hidden storage. Someday I should do a “designing for pets” episode. ❤️❤️❤️

I have a layout question 😀 *hands up* 🙋🏾‍♀️ I was wondering if you could have changed the layout so the TV sat in front of the window that you covered with film and the sofa moved to face that direction instead. Then she'd have a more natural walkway and even more of a natural separation from that back space, But maybe the room wasn't actually long enough for that layout? 🤔🤔

We did totally think about that, but since we wanted to float the side chair (without having to set it in front of the couch and block off a portion), it all stuck out a bit and felt awkward to walk around and felt like it cut off the flow. I also just loved the sofa in front of the wallpaper and that whole vignette she sees when she walks in. But yeah, I’m always looking for the options.
